The restaurant served delicious food

Das Restaurant ist sehr gut
Das Apartment war sehr schön groß, das Bett in Ordnung. Die Küchenzeile war gut ausgestattet. Staumöglichkeiten gab es genug.
Da das Wasser in der Dusche am ersten Tag nicht gut ablief, hat man sich sofort gekümmert.
Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Obwohl wir noch ganz gut zu Fuß sind, war der Zugang zur Wohnung im zweiten Stock über steilere Treppen mühsam. Mit einem schweren Koffer war es nicht machbar, so haben wir den Kofferinhalt in Tüten hochgetragen.
Da es sehr heiß war an den 3 Tagen war der Aufenthalt im Apartment sehr stressig - auch wenn das Hotel eine mobile Klimaanlage zur Verfügung gestellt hat. Da diese sehr laut war konnte man sie nicht in der Nacht nutzen.
Wir haben zweimal Frühstück dazu gebucht, es war okay- allerdings preislich nicht angemessen.

It was quite clean and cozy room. Reception was communicable because they called me before I arrive to hotel and let me know that they’d not be over there and told me my key box password.
Besides, breakfast was good.
Convenient for stop-over when driving to Italy. Very quiet spot. Excellent dinner (need to reserve).

The room and the view were very good. Excellent bed and very clean room.
We were not informed that the restaurant and bar would be closed upon our arrival. We were delayed due to traffic and were hoping for a meal, which was unavailable at the hotel, as we had hoped.
Nice apartment in a great location. The place was spotless and had everything we needed. The view from the balcony is amazing!! The apartment gets boiling hot in the summer, but there is a portable AC unit that helps a lot.
There is no fitted window for the AC unit's exhaust pipe, so you have to let it hang out of an open window, which doesn't help with the heat. Also, the restaurant was closed even though their website stated that they would be open Wednesdays to Sundays.
The locations wonderful. Despite being so close to the little town (Steinbach) it feels much more remote than it really is. There is a wonderful view from the rooms facing west and visible from the terrace. In good weather eating outside great. But the interior where the restaurant is you feel to be in a very authentic German building. It's very cosy! The menu includes traditional Schwabian food as well as 'regular' dishes. They also serve weissbier! Very important detail :-) This was my second time staying. I am sure I will be back :-)
There is one detail that could be an issue for some. Beyond the main building with restaurant, there are a number of steps to negotiate (the hotel in built into a hillside). They are barely noticed by most people, but if mobility is an issue, just be aware there are a number of steps up into to hotel accommodation.

There was no restaurant. No reception. There is no direction to the room. I was the only guest at the 'Bates Motel'. The air con was an old-fashioned noisy stand-alone fan. The balcony has a great big tree in front of it! No view. Total misrepresentation. There was no security. They left a note outside the hotel with my details and room code for the key. Anyone could have entered the room. It was quite frightening. On the morning of my stay, I received a phone call. The woman was speaking in German, and I explained I didn't speak German, so she began shouting at me. I then emailed them and again explained I didn't speak German and asked if there was a problem. They then emailed me in German. All in all, it was an awful experience. Needless to say, I didn't stay at the hotel. I booked into another hotel, which was fantastic. Hotel Rebenhof!
