This was our first family holiday with our 3 year old son and we absolutely loved this hotel. I will breakdown as much as I can
Pool:
The pool area is beautiful and well kept. The only issue we had was it was freezing cold! Had the pool been heated, it would have been perfect. There’s plenty of sun loungers and a bar in the middle. It’s a lagoon style pool so looks so pretty, especially when it’s lit up at night. We didn’t use the adult only pool but it looked to be relaxing and great for anyone wanting a quieter time.
The retreat:
Amazing!!! I’d say this is great for kids up to the age of around 7-8, but any older children may struggle as the splash park doesn’t have any bigger slides. For us it was perfect though. Again, the only issue being it was freezing cold! But the bar and snacks here were fantastic and it was just a perfect day as you feel like you’re heading out for the day but you don’t pay for a thing. There’s also sports courts and a decent sized playground here. I wish we got to spend more time here as my son had a great day.
Bars:
We didn’t use T-beach as the beach was inaccessible for most of our stay. (I will explain properly later on in the review). We did however use the pool bar and the sunset bar. We found the quality of drinks to be quite good and a lot of international and branded drinks were available which was great. The bar staff were always very friendly too. The sunset bar was the highlight of this hotel for me. It’s aptly named as the sunsets here are unmatched. If you stay here, make sure you head up to the sunset bar and catch a sunset or two. They’re honestly stunning!
Food:
The buffet was decent, always something to satisfy even the fussier eaters. It could get a bit samey but I tried to have a different meal each night and didn’t really struggle with that. They did also do some theme nights too and there was always freshly cooked pasta on offer, prepared in front of you. Lunch was pretty much the same every day but this didn’t matter too much, especially if you fill up at breakfast. You could also get sandwiches, wraps and ice creams from the pool bars which were lovely. Breakfast was the same every day but it was all lovely. The only consistent issue we had was it was quite cold most days, no matter what time we went.
The Italian restaurant was incredible! Honestly amazing! The best food we had all week and the service was great too.
Grounds:
STUNNING!! This hotel is so aesthetically pleasing, it’s just beautiful. It’s very well kept and the lighting at night just really makes it. There are areas that are a bit steep though as it’s built on a hill so elderly people or people with mobility issues may struggle here. By the end of the final day my son was struggling a little bit but it wouldn’t put us off returning.
Cleanliness:
Perfect, no complaints what so ever. The house keeping team worked so hard. The whole hotel was spotless, even the toilets by the pool were constantly being cleaned.
Staff:
Very friendly and approachable, no complaints at all. The house keeping team especially went out their way to greet everyone as they walked past. The bar staff were great too and the reception team were always approachable.
Location:
Beautiful area but no a great deal around. There’s a couple of restaurants around a 10-15 minute walk away and there’s a couple on the beach that other guests said were great, but we didn’t try any of those. There’s a shop right by the retreat too call the serenis, which was great. This had mainly souvenirs and gifts.
You can get a bus outside the retreat that takes you in to San Antonio but be prepared to take change, it says on the bus website that you could pay on card but the driver refused this, the price was also significantly higher to what was advertised online. It was only around 20-30 minutes from the airport though and as this is quite a popular choice, the majority of the transfer coach was for this hotel only so it was a very quick and easy transfer.
Entertainment:
There a kids disco most nights but this started at 8pm. Considering most of the children here were under the age of 5, this seemed very late and we didn’t get to experience much of the entertainment because of this. I believe there was usually a show from 9pm but I can’t really comment on the quality of them as we didn’t see them. Other guests did say they were slightly disappointed with the quality of entertainment though.
Now for the drama of the beach being inaccessible. So this isn’t the hotels fault at all but I do feel they could have put provisions in place to prevent less inconvenience to guests. On the third night of our stay, there was a storm that caused damage to the beach and the retreat. However, the hotel knew about this and did nothing to prepare. The retreat was then closed for the rest of our stay as they needed to filter the water. Had they have prepared in advance, they could have easily covered the retreat over completely to avoid this. It’s such a shame as this is the main reason we booked this hotel and was the best part for us. We only got to use it once. With the retreat and beach being closed, the family pool was then massively overcrowded. The hotel didn’t offer to open the adults pool up to families, (which at the time was pretty empty). It was a real struggle to get sun loungers and it just felt so busy.
The beach was very badly damaged and it meant no one could access it for a couple of days. When you then could access it again, there was diggers doing works right next to sunbathers which was very dangerous. This meant we only stayed a very short time and then left. I don’t think the beach belongs to the hotel but it did affect our overall experience here.
Overall, this is classed as a 4 star hotel and honestly I think that’s fair. However, there’s a few little tweaks that could easily turn this into a 5 star:
An extra bar - all the bars that are open at night time are down one end of the hotel. The hotel is pretty big so if you’re staying at the other end like we were, there isn’t much there at all and it’s quite a long walk to the bars and entertainment area. There is a water and juice machine in the lobby, if they just added a small bar here, it would make a huge difference.
An extra food area included in the AI - much like the bars, all the food options (except the Italian restaurant that you can use once) are down one end. There is quite a long walk from the family pool to the restaurant for lunch. If they added even a small food truck up the other end of the hotel I think this would help massively. An extra a-la-Carte restaurant would be great too. You have T-beach and the Sunset bar but they’re sooo expensive! One of them serves Tapas but it was 45 euros each, if that was included it would make such a difference.
More facilities for children inside the main hotel grounds - I think this hotel is mainly for families with young children but with that being said, there isn’t much for children outside of the retreat. There’s a small kids club but there isn’t anything else. That meant when the retreat closed at 6, there was nothing at all. It would be good to have a playground inside the main hotel grounds, or maybe a soft play. As the retreat was closed for the majority of our stay, it was difficult to find things that were age appropriate for our son.
The shop - make it bigger! It’s tiny and there isn’t a lot to choose from. I know it’s an all inclusive resort so you don’t need to buy much, but there wasn’t many snacks you could buy and take back to your room. I wanted a Fanta lemon and some lays on the balcony!
Overall, I really loved this hotel. Yes we had the issue of the retreat being closed and a couple of minor issues, but would I let that put me off coming back? Absolutely not! We got an absolute bargain for this holiday and I'm on the lookout for another cheap break so we can come back ASAP. I would recommend this to anyone with younger children who still want a beautiful hotel that holds itself to a high standard. I think it would be great for couples too. Honestly, I can’t wait to return here one day.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Perfect Getaway for Families and Relaxation
We had the most wonderful stay at Insotel Cala Tarida Beach Resort & Spa! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by warm, friendly, and attentive staff who went above and beyond to make our holiday special.
The resort itself is beautifully maintained, with lush grounds that are perfect for both relaxation and play. There was so much to do for both adults and kids – from fun activities and entertainment to peaceful spots for unwinding. The beach is absolutely stunning, just a short stroll away, with crystal-clear waters and breathtaking views.
The food and drinks were fantastic – plenty of variety, fresh options, and something to suit every taste. Whether we were enjoying a poolside cocktail or a delicious meal at one of the restaurants, everything was top-notch.
This resort truly offers the perfect balance of relaxation and fun. We left feeling refreshed and already dreaming of our next visit. Highly recommended for families, couples, or anyone looking to enjoy the best of Ibiza in a welcoming and beautiful setting.
Lovely hotel, great welcome was told rooms would be ready from 3pm, got our keys around midday, food in the restaurant had good choice for the week that we had there even as a vegi, Good size pool but chilly in October but kids loved it. Snacks at the pool side bar could be improved hard to tell what drinks they offer, as never saw menu until you ask. Adult pool never seemed to be busy. The retreat side few minutes walk not bad more for younger kids. Hire a car from the hotel great service and price and go and see Ibiza. Lovely beach behind the hotel amazing sunsets. If you like the pools, get the swim up rooms (wish we had done so) overall great value for money.
Had a Fantastic time at Tarida Beach Hotel
Room got water through ceiling first night because of Storm went to Reception they sorted us a room to move to the next day.
All staff were very helpful and Polite food was good plenty of choice
Hotel and rooms very clean the beach at Hotel was fantastic.
We will go back to this hotel again
Thanks
I was apprehensive after seeing some negative comments online, but this resort was absolutely incredible. The entire resort (the main resort and the retreat) were immaculately clean (and we stayed at the end of the season) and well maintained, the staff were so friendly and welcoming, the apartment was spotless, comfortable and spacious, the food was delicious, fresh and so much choice. The pools were clean and well maintained. I could not fault this resort, and the beach, views and sunsets were an added bonus. 10/10 would recommend and return!
A sparkling welcome drink on arrival was a nice touch for the adults, which made the checking in less boring as there was a long queue. Can children be offered a drink too after travelling? Reception were helpful when I had queries/questions.
Hotel was beautiful, really clean everywhere, including the room which had maid service daily. Amenities in the room were spot on, including iron and ironing bored if needed. Our room had a nice pool view (private pools for room upgrades) and balcony, pleased with that!
Staff friendly, hardworking, especially the waiter staff at busy times, just expect to wait a bit longer to be served at those times. Most understood my 'decaffeinated coffee' request. Food was nice and warm with good choice, Italian restaurant was good but no wow factor!
Daily fitness throughout the day, including yoga, aqua aerobics, pilates, and much more. I had a massage treatment at the spa and used the 20 per cent discount as pricey. Was good though! Didn't use the nightly entertainment due to my child's needs, maybe another quieter area in the evening would be good to accommodate this. We used the lobby to play card games but no option to get an alcoholic drink apart from coffee (which i dislike) or soft drink. There is the beautiful Sunset bar which we used though! Highlight of the night, seeing those sunsets!!
Great location, couple of minutes walk to the public beach which was pleasant. The Retreat was brilliant, kept my children entertained especially the football pitch! Worth the walk up the hill! Not much in the resort so either hire a car (from Hotel Class) or busses go to San Antonio but not direct to Ibiza Town this time of year. I hired a car for the day, worth it! I would recommend this hotel or go back as had no issues, felt happy, safe and most of all my children were happy with the facilities. Well done Tui Blue Playa Tarida!
Would highly recommend caters for adults without children and with children.
Had the most chilled and relaxed week away soaking up the sun, eating good food and reading.
Staff were very attentive, food was good and varied with different themed nights.
Located right on a beautiful beach.
We relaxed around the adult swimming pool which has a bar located next to it. Pool loungers were so comfortable.
Hotel room was big with a sofa, we went for the whirlpool terrace on top of the room and it didn’t disappoint sunsets from this view point were amazing.
I will definitely be going back.
Can’t recommend highly enough.
I really liked the hotel. The staff were lovely, especially Mari. The rooms were cleaned daily and the food was good and similar to what you expect at most AI. The views from sunset bar are fantastic and having a beach on your doorstep is lovely. The sea was warmer than the pools - so we spent a lot of our time there. There is a bus close and cheap to get to San Antonio .. a local store and then a spa which is a bit further around. We had a great holiday.
This resort is absolutely beautiful the grounds are lovely to walk around the pool and service is great the food was an excellent srandard and loads to choose from and the room was spotless clean
I will definitely return to Tarida Beach Hotel I was super impressed with my stay here and loved that the beach was right there
Amazing place to make memories with my family (2 adult children) We all had a brilliant stay here. Thank you ❤
There are a few negative reviews on this hotel however, my partner and I have recently returned from here and we had a great time.
HILLS- almost every review talks about the hills, do I need to say more, not really, it's hilly, if you have mobility issues, this isn't the place for you!
CHECK IN - My only real negative comment about this resort is, they have a 3pm check in time and they really do stick to it. Never in my life have I turned up to a resort and been told I have to actually wait for check in time, I have turned up to places at 4/5am and been checked in straight away, bizarre. Also, they said they would call when the room was ready, they did not, we went up to ask as we saw people making their way to their rooms so thought we would chance our luck.
FOOD- The food in the buffet restaurant was fine, different themes every night, but then also the usual pasta, salad, beige food options if you don't like/want what they have. Food was always warm and plentiful. We only had to queue to get in for breakfast one morning, every other time we were in straight away with plenty of space to sit.
We went to the Italian A La Carte, again, it was fine, my partner had the carbonarra, which was a bit dry, but it wasn't terrible, starter and dessert were lovely.
We went out one night to a tapas restaurant near San Antonio, aptly named "Tapas Ibiza" if you want to pop out for some local food, it is 20 ish mins in a taxi €25 - well worth it.
The snacks/ice creams at the pool bars were also worth a little try, the chocolate/vanilla cornetto style one was delicious!
The drinks are good, most brands included, but they did also have some "premium" brands, such as Jameson, that incurred an extra charge.
SUNBEDS/POOL- There were no issues getting a sunbed however, we were there in October so, likely a lot quieter than peak times. We went to the adults only pool every day, the pool itself is FREEZING! A very slow entrance was required to prevent to body entering shock, although some people like ripping off the band aid, so opted for the faster dive in, to each their own!
The lifeguard at the pool did ensure no children entered/remained at the pool, this was welcomed.
All the bar staff were lovely, very polite, started to remember our orders by the end of the week.
While we were there it was my partners birthday and we were surprised when someone from guest relations turned up with a bottle of bubbles and a card, that was a nice touch.
The sunset bar is a nice place to go in the evening, funnily enough, it's a great place to watch the sunset, pictures included!!
Overall, I would say this is a nice resort, easy access to the beach if that's your vibe.
Not sure why there are so many negative reviews about this place, I have definitely stayed in worse resorts with an apparent 5 star rating.
All the members of staff from reception to waiting in restaurants were all friendly and helpful, nothing was too much. We particularly liked the layout of the hotel with separate accommodation blocks and swimming pool for adults only and the generous size of rooms and bathrooms. The rooms were cleaned thoroughly daily. A peaceful and relaxing experience.
This is an absolutely fabulous hotel, the staff could not have been friendlier and the entire site was immaculate. The best holiday hotel we have stayed in
Brilliant resort.
We read the negative reviews and had some trepidation but it was unfounded - everything from the accommodation, food, drink, pools, cleanliness and staff was great.
We’ve two little ones and the kids pool was perfect, if a little chilly at first in October! Kids disco also well received.
We had a room with roof terrace and whirlpool, which gave us lots of extra space and didn’t disappoint.
Bear in mind this isn’t one building, so you need to walk from accommodation buildings to the bars and restaurants, and there aren’t lifts to the bedrooms.
The all inclusive was as expected for Tui Blue, excellent, but the Italian restaurant a little disappointing - not enough to dim the overall experience though.
We’ll be back!
As resorts go this one is very nice. Fantastic service, very clean, staff are great.
Have been 4 times in the last 3 years. And every time it's been a great experience. It can't be too bad, as in our 4 visits we constantly bump into people we have seen there previously.
The resort has some fairly steep paths through the resort, it definitely keeps you fit.
What we like is that it has adult only accommodation, as well as an adult only pool and poolside bar.
There is direct access onto the beach from the resort and the beach is lovely with a nice selection of restaurants directly on the beach if you eating out and not doing the all inclusive.
The sea is Cristal clear
The all inclusive food has a good selection of fantastic quality food. You can always find something you like.
All premium drinks and cocktails are included in the price.
The only downside side is there isn't much else in the area, so no real places to walk to.
But there are buses regularly, which are very cheap. Or get a taxi as they are fantastic value as well.
In all honesty, the resort and staff are fantastic. I would struggle to say anything bad about the resort in our experience there.
Great location, close to the beach. Sloping site could make it difficult for those with mobility issues. Although helped burn off the excesses of all inclusive. Great staff, who were attentive and friendly from the restaurant staff, Pool staff to housekeeping. Cannot fault anyone.
Bonus of having The Retreat nearby which added another dimension. We didn’t use the spa which is st extra cost. Neither did we visit the Italian restaurant which included one visit within our package but the menu looked very good.
Rooms were probably one of the best we have stayed in, very comfortable and spacious especially for 2.
We felt that we had great value for money for the time of year that we travelled.
We highly recommend this hotel.
The Tarida beach hotel was amazing.
We don’t do all inclusive holidays normally, but was asked by our daughter whether we’d like to join their family holiday which we were very happy to.
We were so pleased with the whole experience, the hotel and grounds were beautiful, the pools and the restaurant was especially surprising as the variety was amazing, we never got bored with the choice and the staff so friendly and they especially took notice of the children and welcomed them in.
Would definitely return if we were back in Ibiza.
Nice hotel with beautiful sunset. The room was fine and clean. Staff was frindly and very helpful. Trips are avaible directly of hotel.
The staff were superb, always friendly and helpful. The grounds were most impressive well maintained and varied. The variety and quality of food in the buffet dining room was impressive and the staff ready to help.
The Italian a la carte restuarant is high quality and has a varied menu.
The only down thing is that the hotel is built on the side of a hill and moving from one facility to another involved quite hill walking.
I would reccomend this venue to the fit and young.
Wonderful short stay at tarida beach. Great location, friendly staff, clean and roomy accommodation, plenty of facilities suitable for all ages and good food. Both quality and variety. We were a party of Nan daughter and baby.. all of us equally enjoyed.
We had such a great time for the whole week that we stayed at the hotel, the food served in the main restaurant was very nice and varied and also the grounds were kept beautiful. We spent a lot of time in The Retreat as the children loved it there and they were very entertained. Ramon who works on the bar is such a lovely man and always made us laugh everytime we went for a drink and he was really good with the children aswell. He is a brilliant worker.
