MAX Hotel Düsseldorf Self-Check-in

The room wasn't very clean and you could find hair or other stuff in the bathroom from previous guests. As it is stated on the listing, the check-in is at 12:00 p.m. We requested an earlier check-in only an hour earlier (at 11:00 a.m.) a few days before our arrival, which was accepted by the hotel staff (we also got an email about the acceptance of our request). When we got there, we couldn't open the door with the code they gave us and there was no-one we could talk to there (literally nobody from the staff). I contacted them through the phone number they had provided and they almost yelled at me that check-in is at 12pm and that I was early, so of course the door wouldn't open. I explained about our early check in request and received a very weird attitude, but the person we were talking to managed to change our door access and let us in. However, they told me that the room wasn't gonna be ready since their cleaning staff wasn't there yet and they hadn't gotten the time to clean up before our arrival. I said that's fine and I asked if we could just leave our luggage and come back when the room was supposed to be "ready" at 12pm, which they assured me would be the case. So we left and came back at 12:30 and the room was in exact same state that we found it: the bed was out of its place and it wasn't made and the towels were not changed. I called them again and in an exasperated tone they told me that their cleaning staff will come by around 3pm (15:00) and they hung up on me. We left shortly after that and came back later in the evening, when the bed was made and the towels were renewed (the room still wasn't very clean, but it was ok), but it was freezing cause they hadn't turned the heat on (in December!!!!) and they had left the windows open. We turned on the heat on our own so that wasn't a huge problem but it was inconvenient.

Bevestigde incheck tussen 12 en 13, goedgekeurd en wel. 12.55u is er nog niets gepoets in de kamer. Gore vlek in t tapijt.

Bei einem Preis von 300€ (Messepreise) für ein winziges Einzelzimmer kann man vielleicht nicht zwangsläufig Komfort oder ähnliches erwarten, zumindest sollte man die Reinigung etwas ernster nehmen. Bei Ankunft lagen Haare auf dem Bett, Haare (gekräuselt) auf dem Badezimmerboden, Tisch klebrig von Getränken, Stuhlpolster hatte Bremsstreifen unbekannter Art und das Zimmer hatte einen unangenehmen Fäkalgeruch.
Niemand vor Ort, bei Anruf wurde mir mitgeteilt die Putzfrau war da und somit sei das Zimmer sauber. Auch für 70€ Normalpreis nicht ok.
Bei der ausgelobten Kaffeemaschine auf dem Zimmer handelt es sich übrigens um 1 Sachet löslicher Kaffee und ein Wasserkocher. Immerhin eine Flasche Wasser gratis!
