Angenehm überrascht!
Pros:

Der Hotelgasthof ist sehr empfehlenswert. Die Ausstattung der schönen Gaststube, die Küche, das Frühstück, die komfortablen Gästezimmer, alles auf bestem badischen Level. Dazu die perfekte, fußläufige Anbindung an das quirlige Strasbourg mit dem Nahverkehr, ohne Geräuschkulisse. Wer tagsüber in Strasbourg und Umgebung unterwegs ist, kann sich zur Erholung auf den "Hirsch" freuen. Rechtzeitig buchen- der "Hirsch" ist sehr beliebt!

Cons:

Die Tickets des Nahverkehrs und das Deutschland Ticket gelten nur bis zur Grenze. Man kann kostenintensiv bis Strasbourg durchlösen oder am Bahnhof Kehl in die günstige Straßenbahn umsteigen. Man gewöhnt sich schnell an den Rhythmus der meisten Pendler.

Das Hotel ist gepflegt, das Personal ist sehr freundlich und das dazu gehörende Restaurant ist ausgezeichnet.

Cons:

Das Badezimmer ist eher klein, aber man verbringt ja nicht viel Zeit dort, daher durchaus ok.

Es scheint, dass Gäste, die über booking.com buchen, einen Bachteil haben.
Pros:

Das Hotel war sehr schön und das Personal sehr nett, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Badezimmer schien neu zu sein.

Cons:

Das Zimmer war sehr klein und in einem Nebengebäude auf der gegenüberliegenden Strassenseite. Wir haben bei booking.com gebucht und das letzte Zimmer erhalten. Somit mussten unsere Freunde direkt im Hotel buchen. Schlussendlich bekamen sie ein schönes grosses Zimmer und wir ein älteres, kleines im Nebengebäude. Beide Zimmer zum selben Preis. Werde künftig wohl eher nicht mehr bei booking.com meine Reisen buchen.

A perfect place for an overnight stay
Pros:

I booked a "comfortable" single room which was very spacious. The shower was perfect. I had a meal in the restaurant and the food was presented well and tasted good. The breakfast was excellent with a vast range of food to suit everybody.

Cons:

The only very slight constructive comment I would offer would be at dinner. The 3 restaurants were packed and the staff were having to move quickly to cope and did not catch my eye when I wanted more drinks on the table. If they could look around more after delivering to tables that would be excellent.
