Pan majtel byl přátelský člověk, se kterým jsme večer poseděli a ochutnali místní alkohol. Před naším příjezdem nám přichystali oběd. Po náročném dni jsme ocenili místní bazén a posezení v krásné zahradě. Pokoje byli menší, velmi jednoduché, ale na přespání postačí.
V okolí je jen pár obchůdků. Nejvíc mě mrzelo, že jsme se nebyli schopni domluvit na čase snídaně. I když jsme se domluvili večer předem na osmou hodinu jídlo nám donesli až ve třičtvrtě na devět. Což byl pro nás trochu problém, když jsme měli na devátou objednaný odvoz. Čaj, o který jsem si prosila 4x jsem do té doby nedostala. Chlapci jsou sice milí, usměvaví, ale vše jen odkývou a nic se neděje.

Jest ogromny basen, śniadanie dla 4 osób dostaliśmy, jakby było nas conajmniej 10- pyszne i duże porcje, personel bardzo się o nas troszczył, nie było problemu, żeby kilkukrotnie przynieść gorącą herbatę do pokoju schorowanej koleżanki.
Warunki były można powiedzieć „lokalne”.., ale właściciel mówił, że bardzo rzadko zatrzymują się u niego obcokrajowcy i ciężko prowadzi się biznes, więc mimo tego zachęcam, jeśli zależy wam na wsparciu lokalnej ludności.

Clean, Comfortable, and Family-Friendly – Just Like Our Own Home
Our stay at Honey Tree Polonnaruwa was wonderful! The pool was crystal clear and even had a safe area for small children. With only six rooms, the atmosphere was quiet and private — perhaps the only hotel in Polonnaruwa with a pool for such a small number of guests. The rooms were very comfortable, the food was delicious, and the staff were warm and welcoming. Excellent value for money!

The highlight of this property is its clean, well-maintained swimming pool, which never feels crowded as there are only six rooms in total. The food is delicious and freshly prepared, adding to the overall comfort of the stay. With its excellent service, peaceful setting, and affordable rates, this hotel offers true value for money.

Good, clean accommodation and a pleasure to be able to swim and sit by the pool. Our host, Abey, was very accommodating.
We had an amazing stay! Honey tree has comfy rooms and a beautiful pool and garden. We were incredibly well looked after by the amazing Abey who attended to our every need, cooking us loads of delicious food, arranging bike hire for us at Polonnaruwa ancient city, and even getting a few bottles of Lion beer especially for us after we asked to try some. We couldn't recommend it enough! An absolute gem!
We absolutely loved the sweet manager Abey. He really made our stay very memorable and went above and beyond to make us comfortable.
The pool and breakfast were great and the room was great value for the price. AC and hot water worked and the location is peaceful and surrounded by villages and rice fields and yet close to town.
We also recommend the cafe in town Putsiri. Great food and lovely owners.

We had a delightful one-night stay at Honey Tree in Polonnaruwa. The room was clean and comfortable, and the pool area was a refreshing oasis. What truly made our stay special was the exceptional hospitality of Mr. Abeyrathne. He was incredibly friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable stay in Polonnaruwa. We highly recommend Honey Tree to anyone seeking a comfortable and welcoming stay in Polonnaruwa.
Bed linen towels pool and the pool aria was very clean.
Cleanliness ( all the toilets sink and the walls were very dirty. Apart from the bed linen and pool everything else was dusty. Needs a professional clean up. If not the rating will be so bad
