El dueño super servicial, nos ayudó a gestionar todo lo del safari y nos facilitó todo. Además cenamos muy rico en el hotel. Lo recomendaría sin dudar. todo muy muy limpio y estuvimos muy bien.

An oasis of comfort for us after some hard days on the road cycling. A beautiful garden view from the upstairs terrasse. Far enough from the main road and the rush of the town to be peaceful. The calm and attentive host. Recommended!

We had a wonderful experience at this resort what in a peaceful location that's easy to reach. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing—ideal for unwinding after a day of sightseeing.
The owner was exceptionally friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make sure everything was comfortable during our stay. His warm hospitality made a difference.
If you're looking for a quiet, welcoming place to stay near Polonnaruwa, this report is I highly recommended.

El host era majísimo nos atendió fenomenal. La habitación. Muy espaciosa y con agua caliente y muy buena presión. Todo muy limpio. El desayuno era increíble y desde la habitación hay vistas a naturaleza.

Kithmi was the highlight of our trip! It felt like home from the moment we arrived. Hemantha and his sister were amazing hosts, they helped us with every little detail of our stay and cooked delicious food.

We told them we love local breakfasts and then the following mornings they cooked us hoppers and dal etc. so if you like it local make sure you say so!

WiFi was excellent and AC was perfect. Room very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the monkeys! Weather was lovely in July.

If you’re short on time you could do Pollonaruwa in one day. The ancient city tour in the morning 8-12 and then safari (Mineriya or Kaudulla) in the afternoon 1-6. Not too much else to do in the area aside from reading and eating good local food.

We had a very comfortable stay. The place is not far from the city but nice, quiet and away from the city noise. Also the host was the most accommodating one I have ever met in Sri Lanka. He tried his best to make our stay a relaxed one.

A room with a view of the lush garden and a peaceful terrace right in the tranquility of Pollonaruwa. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious. The host was exceptionally helpful, arranging guides for both an elephant safari and a tour of the wonders of the old town temples (both highly recommended); I had some money issues but he was very patient in helping to resolve them.

Location was ideal. A short tuktuk trip to the Ancient City and space to park.
We had a lovely large room with a balcony to sit and enjoy the garden. The room was spacious with comfy beds, fan, aircon, hot shower.
Our host was wonderful! Thoughtful (brought the mozzie coils around each evening; had homemade lemonade waiting after our trip to the Ancient City) and helped with organising our elephant safari.
Breakfast was huge and tasty each day. We had dinner there each night. Fabulous meals, with lots of choices.
Can’t rate Kithmi Resort highly enough. There was nothing not to love. Please choose to stay here.

very pleasantly set resort with a well managed garden. The room furnishings are classic, forget putting things away from suitcases, but it is quite spacious throughout so you can move around the room freely. Breakfast was a delight and certainly a nice start to the day.
