Had to buy power adapter because of newer type of power point because normal 2 pin fell out. Wouldn't offer one for 2 days. Grumpy and short at reception.
The location was just outside of Interlaken but it was a nice quiet area that I enjoyed. There’s a small market just across the street, a bakery a block away and a few restaurants around. The staff was helpful and attentive.
The room had some mold issues and the beds were probably the most uncomfortable beds I’ve ever slept in at a hotel. They were very soft and sagging in the middle as if they are many many years old.
Location and dimensions of the room.
The hotel is in a continuous state of deterioration. During the summer months, especially July and August, it is extremely hot, as there is no air conditioning.
The people working at the hotel looked more like construction workers than hotel staff. The person who greeted us at check-in had fingernails that looked like they had not been trimmed for several weeks, and they were extremely unkempt. It was honestly horrifying to look at his hands and realize that he worked at a hotel that served breakfast and operated a restaurant throughout the rest of the day. :))
Easy parking and a good public transport to Interlaken. The boat pier was ten minutes' walk away.
This is the lowest score review I have ever given.I try to be fair and accurate and expect Hotels to do the same. This is NOT a 'Boutique Hotel' as many would understand the term. It is a basic, tired Hotel, which has seen better days. Any value judgement before booking should be based on the Hotel having a rather more frank description of itself. The room inigially provided had curtains missing, and the direct sunlight had elevated the tempersture to 30 degrees. There was a fan but no operatiknal air conditioning. The member of staff at reception WAS pleasant and helpful, and changed me into another room, which was equally tired and poorly furnished. The inattention to basic detail (no plug in the sink might have paid homage to 1970s East Germany) and rusty screws sticking out of the wall, and tatty notices, made me wonder what else might have been overlooked.
Now, maybe this Hotel has recently been acquired, and maybe there are plans to comprehensively upgrade it.. If the rest of the Hotel was as pleasant as the check-in staff, it would have rated highly.
Until then, it will remain a huge disappointment, with standards far below what I would expect for a 'Boutique Hotel' in Switzerland.. Backpacker's Hotel...maybe.
l’emplacement géographique, facilité de parking
Le rapport qualité prix (merci la Suisse)
Das Restaurant lm Haus war sehr gut. Qualität und Preis stimmten. Die Lage trotz Straße war
ruhig.
Das Frühstück war einfallslos Zur Frühstückszeit entkalkte sich häufig der Kaffee-
automat. Also 30 Minuten ohne Kaffee.
Personal nicht sehr freundlich. Ausnahme:
das Restaurant!Hatten Zimmer im alte
Haupthaus.
Budzetowa opcja jezeli nie chce sie przeplacac za nocleg w Interlaken. Super dojazd do centrum wiec to nie problem. Starszy hotel, ale jak najbardziej wygodny. Czysto, wygodne lozka, expres do kawy w pokoju. Mila pani na recepcji. Jest tez opcja sniadania i baru, z ktorych nie korzytalem. Polecam.
valley views.
towel is rough as rock.
The location was great
We stayed for 3 nights there. It’s excellent value for money for such a touristy area. The hotel is just a 7-minute bus ride from Interlaken Ost station. They kindly gave us a complimentary Interlaken Pass, so all our bus trips were completely free. Buses run frequently, so getting around is a breeze. The hotel is located in Ringgenberg, a charming suburb of Interlaken. The location is absolutely stunning - peaceful, cozy, and blissfully free of tourist crowds. We loved taking a sunset swim in the lake in total peace and privacy. Plus, the locals are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Another big bonus is that there is a handy mini-market right across the street from the hotel.Check-in was quick and smooth. Our room on the first floor was quite basic but functional. It came with a coffee machine, and they replenished water, tea, coffee, and soap every day. There was also a TV, a hairdryer, and a fan, which did its best to keep us cool in the heat. Overall, it is a great base for exploring the Interlaken area.
The soundproofing is nonexistent, which was especially intrusive in the mornings. Also, the shower is on the tighter side, and the bathroom fixtures could definitely use an upgrade.
Available on my required date
The room is quite dated in comparison with hotels in a similar price range. Both electric lights in the room where missing covers leaving live electrical connections exposed to guests and others.
