Friendly staff
Good location for restaurants
Hotel very clean
Nicely decorated
Amazing shower
Bed and pillows too soft
The egg stuff was not very good but otherwise it was good.
Shower water pressure was wonderful.
Shower faucet seemed as though it might break easily. It was very hard to turn on.
La suite était grande et propre
Robinet de douche défectueux et la climatisation n'était pas controllable.
I have to be honest. The breakfast could have been better. Spinach quiche and sausage bagel were not great choices. I'm not a pastry gal and no bagels for me. Scrambled eggs and bacon and biscuits would have been great!
I was only at the hotel for 10 hours, but the staff and the comfort of my room were wonderful.
See above relative to breakfast.
Cleanness, awesome staff
Maybe the actual location. Geographically
Great for a quick stop , easy access from highway , good breakfast
Walls too thin, we asked to change room because of the bad noice
The setup of the room abd the cleanliness
The breakfast was okay, not great
I highly recommend that you not stay at this property if you appreciate courteous staff and few amenities like a working tv and iron/ironing board and clean carpet. As a Marriott Lifetime Platinum member, I have frequent experience with Marriott properties, yet the service I encountered during this visit was significantly below standard. Not all staff just the Manager (of all people).
The primary issue occurred at the front desk when I requested a receipt. Due to the absence of front desk staff, a maintenance worker attempted to assist but was unable to operate the system. When he requested assistance from the "manager" on duty, she appeared visibly frustrated that she actually had to help a customer. Rather than providing professional service, she loudly argued with me in the lobby regarding third-party receipt procedures and was dismissive and sarcastic, while other guests were in the lobby as well. Uhhh,
Furthermore, the room was not properly maintained, as both the television and the iron were non-functional. I still prefer Marriott properties over other hotels but can not reccomend this property to anyone. There are other properties in the immeidate area so save yourself some grief and book another hotel if you find yourself in Rocky Mount.
We stay every year to split the trip up to Garden City, SC. Never disappoints!

A very nice breakfast with friendly serving staff.
We stayed in a handicapped room. The bed was so low that my husband could not get out of it without my assistance. Thus I was alert all night, "on call" as it were, to meet his needs. It was not a restful night. I also expected a walk-in shower, but I must have read the room description wrong. My husband was unable to shower. Turned out the shower head only produced less than 1/2 the water pressure anyway as most water flowed out of the tub spigot. I reported this to the staff at check-out (along with a funky faucet in the sink).
Also, as we were checking in, the staff member told me I owed additional money for our room. It was not until I showed her the receipt from booking.com that the problem was resolved. Luckily I brought the receipt. Also, even though we had paid in advance (non-refundable), we were still asked for a credit card for "unexpected expenses"...at $20, which was to be refunded at check-out. This may be a common practice, but I would not choose a hotel if I knew I'd be charged in advance "just in case".
