Average at best
Pros:

Specifically asked for table in the bar area to have dinner upon booking, however was given a table in the ‘dining room’ which looks like it belongs in a care home. Lady waiter very abrupt, not rude, just didn’t seem like she wanted to be there. Asked for ice twice, eventually had to go to the bar and get it myself after 20 minutes. Food was okay. Probably won’t be back.

Family event
Pros:

Friendly staff, clean and quiet room.

Cons:

Lumpy pillows, the mattress was uncomfortable and definitely was not a king-size bed as advertised...did notify the reception but, was told all the rooms have a king size beds.

A fabulous find
Pros:

What a gem stayed here with 3 couples for 4 nights and we were all impressed. We ate once in the restaurant and food was great as well as looking after dietary requirements. Staff were really friendly and helpful. There’s also some great walks into Cookham and Marlow. We will be back 😊
Also a big thanks to the bar staff who we kept busy till late every night.

Charmant sejour
Pros:

Hotel charmant, personnel tres gentil.

Cons:

Le matelas du canapé lit est moyen et la couette trop petite pour deux enfants. Le lit adulte est parfait.

Lovely location, room 10 needs some attention
Pros:

The location was fantastic, onsite parking, the staff were friendly, the breakfast (although not included) was very nice

Cons:

The bed in room 10 was extremely noisy, myself and my partner didn’t sleep well as every time you moved or turned over it was really creaky waking the other one up. The room could do with a curtain in addition to the blind as it was quite sunny in the room in the morning. The radiator didn’t work and it was cold at night and I slept in my jumper. The mirror was clearly put up by someone quite tall and I couldn’t see my face to dry my hair/do my make up when sat in the chair. We were not in the room much as we had a 2 day wedding event and there wasn’t really any time to request a different room but we would have liked to do this. For the price we didnt feel it was value for money due to the above reasons. The pepsi in the mini bar was also out of date. I have since seen other reviews mentioning the above issues/similar in room 10.
