The hotel can be reached easily by car and the rooms were clean and quiet.
The breakfast was also very good.
Friendly and helpfull staffs, with same booking amount they shift us to other hotel near to Gjirokaster Castle with perfect view. we had amazing stay in the hotel with delicious breakfast.
The Bleta hotel is located just opposite the main police station in Gjirokastra. The rooms are a comfortable size but the cleaning is not that good. The WiFi does not work on the first or second floor ?(where the rooms are) however the signal is very strong in the ground floor cafe. The price of the rooms depend on your nationality! 20 000 lek is the normal, legal price for a double room (this is around 15 - 16 Euros), however if they see foreigners, the price immediately goes up! The employees of the cafe are polite and helpful, however the cleaning lady is rude and demands tips.
The Bleta Hotel is a value for money house. Rooms are large enough, furnishings are basic but all is reasonably clean. There are no pleasant views to be had. The front is a small street, not very busy at night, and to the rear you look at badly kept houses in the neighbourhood. The two staff were friendly enough in a quiet way and the breakfast was generous. Location is in central Gjirokaster, easy walking to the bus connections, the castle and old town. The countryside around is pretty without being spectacular but the historic part is in bad repair and quite dirty. A much better alternative to Gjirokaster is Berat.
I stayed in Hotel Bleta for a week during my work trip. It has a good location in the boulevard of Gjirokastra. The room was very clean and quiet. What I really found helpful was the fast wireless connection in the room. The breakfast was good too. I would definitely recommend it!
