The property was comfortable and well located for walkers and photographers. It is close to Longshaw Estate which was a pleasant visit and seemed popular with walkers.
Carpark can get full with walkers and runners not guests.
Location, staff, breakfast.
Bed was rock hard.
Noise in the room, from surrounding rooms kept us awake and woke us up.
Evening meal wasn't very good.
friendly welcoming staff, great location and loads of parking good food and lovely wood fire in the bar
noisy room
Perfect location, lovely rooms and friendly staff

Great Breakfast, comfy cosy room.
Bathroom was a little cool, but the weather was realy frosty and cold.
Nice place to stay; comfortable; spacious room; on site pub with food and drinks options.
Very little soundproofing so neighbours woke us up.
The staff were very welcoming and couldn't do enough,,very polite and attentive.
The Food was of very good quality and was delicious! Both evening meals and Breakfast.
Lovely and cosy atmosphere.
Would definitely recommend
The only negative from our 2 night stay is our room was not cleaned and coffee, etc was not replenished.
We have stayed in many different establishments over the years ,and have never had this happen . The bed has always been remade and coffee etc has been replenished and clean towels if needed to have been changed.
Aside from this ,we had a fantastic stay and would return.
Fox House is in a great location with access straight onto the moors.
We had a lovely room and a really nice evening meal in the pub
Nothing
Sounds petty but the notice in the shower stating that bath mats were available was excellent as i need to use one .
Very nice location. Comfortable rooms. Heating wasn’t working but extra blankets offered, but not required. Evening meal and breakfast was lovely. Staff attentive and pleasant.
The room was very cold, along with other guests we complained and were offered a substantial refund which I accepted, apparently the heating had been faulty for a couple of weeks, many couples were complaining, some didn't stay, preferring to head back home. However we were looking after well by the under pressure manager.
Good range of food available, relaxed atmosphere. Bedroom was clean and comfortable.
I had to search for a cup at breakfast and unfortunately the porridge was cold.
There was a noisy machine outside which disturbed me throughout the night.
Location.
Where to start...
The carpet was filthy, and the room was not set up for children despite my requesting this twice in advance. When a crib was eventually provided, it was grubby, the sides were loose, and it felt like an obvious safety risk.
Although we had our monitors and were in close proximity to the rooms, we were told that children were not allowed to be left in the rooms. We were informed this was “company policy”, yet there is no mention of such a policy anywhere on the website. Had this information been available beforehand, we would not have booked. We needed to take it in turns to eat in the restaurant.
Customer service was equally disappointing: it took almost a week for anyone to respond, and when they finally did, they addressed me by the wrong name.
