We enjoyed this remote, historic sanctuary in the Swiss Engadine.
Pros:

Hotel Fex is a gem. The location, 5 km from town and deep into beautiful Fex Valley, is a fairy-tale setting that proved to be very relaxing after stays in Italian towns. The staff was terrific. Hiking directly from the hotel was challenging and rewarding. And dinner each night was excellent. The room was basic but very comfortable. We totally enjoyed our stay.

Cons:

If the weather is rainy (which it wasn't during our stay) there will not be much to do at the hotel and it may prove necessary to shuttle into Sils Maria.

Fex is an outstanding valley.
Pros:

Hotel Fex had the policy of compulsory half board. The food unfortunately was not directed to healthy eating.... albeit it was "4 course"...no raw greens or salads... soggy risotto...no vegetable soup.... What a shame that such a beautiful lovely hotel in an outstanding valley has a "chef" who needs to think deeply about healthy food when customers have no choice... and price of room includes everything meal at ChF200 per person...

Cons:

As explained the compulsory half board on a set menu which excluded any aspect of healthy eating, raw vegetables, salads etc

Entspanntes Dasein mitten in der Natur.
Pros:

Wunderbare Lage mitten in der Natur. Absolute Ruhe in der Nacht. Kein Autoverkehr, auch tagsüber. Nettes Personal, gutes Essen, unkomplizierte Gastfreundschaft, toller Empfang.

Charmantes, ruhiges modernisiertes Old-Style-Hotel, in dem ein erholsamer Aufenthalt garantiert ist.

Das Zimmer war wunderbar, alles mit Holz ausgekleidet. Eine herrliche Ruhe, sowohl im Haus wie außerhalb.
Badezimmer sehr sauber, große, frische Handtücher, Badewanne.
Das Restaurant sehr einladend und elegant. Gute Qualität der Speisen. Das Frühstück reichhaltig, es ließ keinen Wunsch offen.
Das Personal auf allen Gebieten höchst effizient, zuvorkommend und charmant.
Tolle Umgebung, ideal zum Wandern. Gut funktionierender Shuttle-Service von und nach Sils Maria.
