We had a great time at the Bell
Pros:

Great breakfast and the staff we very good when it came picking and choosing off the menu.
Good car parking.

A really lovely place to stay, I’m so happy we booked here.
Pros:

The building and garden were beautiful with lots of character. The room was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was modern and spacious. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the food was delicious. The location was great for us too.

Cons:

Only improvement would be stronger wifi when in the room and a smart tv - but this isn’t essential and didn’t impact our visit.

Disappointing.
Cons:

Room was on ground floor with outside patio eating/drinking areas on two sides, French doors leading outside. Had to keep curtains shut for privacy, lighting very poor, noise from outside until late. French door did not lock, due to gap between doors, which we reported.

A lovely, clean and characterful stay with genuinely wonderful staff - we’d happily stay again.
Pros:

We really enjoyed our one-night stay. The staff were absolutely lovely and welcoming, the hotel was very clean, and check-in/check-out was simple with great communication throughout. We were also pleasantly surprised by the bathroom as we’re quite picky, and the location was really convenient for us.

Cons:

The room was a little dark, although that felt quite fitting for the character and atmosphere of an older building. There were also quite a few steps, including steps into the bathroom which we had to be careful of at night - it wasn’t a concern for us, but could be worth bearing in mind for anyone with mobility difficulties.

The location and breakfast

Cons:

The heat in the room and no air con on hot days like this. The window could not be opened so was awful to try and sleep
