Stayed at Hotel Mayura Gersoppa near Jog Falls and had a really pleasant experience overall. I stayed in the Tunga Block (non-AC rooms), which was comfortable and clean. If you’re planning a visit though, try to book a room in the main block — that’s where you’ll get the best views of the valley and surrounding forest.
The property currently has some construction going on, but the staff mentioned it should be completed by the end of the year, which will probably make the place even better.
What really stood out was the staff — extremely helpful, friendly, and accommodating throughout the stay. The food was also quite good, simple but tasty and satisfying after a long day exploring Jog Falls.
Overall, a great stay if you’re visiting Jog Falls, especially for the location, views, and warm hospitality
One thing to keep in mind: cell network is very weak in this area. The hotel does provide Wi-Fi, but it tends to drop quite often, so don’t rely on it too heavily if you need stable connectivity.
Wake up early and take advantage of the best sunrise views from within the new viewing area, just outside your front door.
It’s currently a building site but is due to be be finished before the end of 2026.

We liked the location of the hotel. The staffs were helpful. Cleanliness was maintained.
This property is undergoing massive renovation, due this renovation work there is inconvenience. The restaurant need to ungraded and better food choices should be provided. They should appoint better chef who is well trained in preparing multicuisine dishes.
The location was good. However that's only in respect of the AC Deluxe rooms. They overlook the falls. The others don't. Plus a lot of construction is going on. So it may be a better idea to go after a couple of years.
The restaurant could be better with more local dishes.
