Good value, good room, attentive staff. I stayed a second night. Excellent rather than 'superb', 8.5
Pros:

Great update to this old motel. Rooms are spacious and clean, with some nice touches designed to make the stay a pleasant one. Really, one of the best value places to stay along the Great Ocean Road. Good position in terms of access to places to eat.

Cons:

Some traffic noise, but that's always the case on the Ocean Road

A luxurious little Oasis to stay, peaceful location.
Pros:

Cleanliness, lots of nice little touches in the room, especially loved the teas, card games & nice toiletries too. Staff very welcoming & we enjoyed the convenience of a restaurant in the hotel & delicious food.
