Decent hotel in Wales
Pros:

Fan was provided on a hot day

Cons:

staff was at times unfriendly, it takes 10min walk to get to the center, while there are quite a few sleeping options closer. The place is quite old and expensive for what you get.

The location is perfect.
Pros:

The location was perfect for our Basecamp to climb Snowdon and a couple of days at Zip Worlds.

Cons:

Breakfast staff were not very helpful on Thursday 9th July and seemed more interested in chatting to each other rather than service.
However different staff on Friday 10th July were superb up

Comfortable, central hotel in scenic location
Pros:

The lodge room that we booked felt a little dated but it was really big, comfortable and had a lovely decked terrace with table and chairs, which was lovely and shaded in the heat. All of the staff that we encountered were friendly, helpful and very good at what they do. The breakfast and dinner were excellent, well cooked and very tasty. The outdoor seating area was lovely for a pre or post dinner drink.

Cons:

Nothing

Pleasant experience but you’re paying for location
Pros:

Very convenient place to stay for exploring the town and nearby hiking/activities. Good quality of furnishings, lovely staff that were very helpful and friendly

Cons:

I stayed in summer and the hotel building was unbearably hot. The room had only a cheap flimsy fan provided that made little difference. Towel rail was permanently on also. Restaurant was closed for dinner during my stay but the pre-paid breakfast was poor for the price compared to lovely food available in the town itself - much better options within a 10 minute walk away

Pros:

Great location easy walk to restaurants and shops .

Cons:

Very dated shabby and shabby - noisy in the front bedrooms. Not the cleanest of bathrooms .
