The room was fabulous. Four poster bed, spa bath, terrace and balcony. Lovely ancient feel to the whole hotel. Made our anniversary trip very special. Also liked how close it was to Betswy Coyd and to Fairy Glen to visit. Liked the fact they rang up and asked if we would like to book dinner there on the first night so at least we didn't need to think about food and it was delicious.
Nothing.
This hotel in a beautiful location surrounded by beautiful trees, Fairy Glen is just a few minutes drive or 20 minute walk. The walk into Betws-y-coed is also around 20 minutes. The hotel is very clean and the staff are very attentive. We slept really well the bed is really comfortable. The food was the icing on the cake very filling and all homemade. I would recommend anyone to stay here when in the area or even just try the food if your passing by. I will definitely be back.
Breakfast
Location on a very busy and noisy road
So much history and very tastefully decorated which reflected the properties age. The bedroom was spacious, and the breakfast was exellent.
Clean room
The staff could have been nicer
Ty Gwyn is a very old building with heaps of character. It is filled with interesting old artefacts and exudes a sense of warmth.
It took a long time for a staff member to take our order after we were seated at our table. It was the same for other guests. However, the food was delicious.
Close to all amenities in the town and quite and very clean
I am gluten and dairy intolerant there wasn't a lot of choice at breakfast time ( no bread, sausage mushrooms )
The breakfast
The tiny space to go out to the hotel. Very close to the road
Great restaurant..nice staff... clean room good breakfast
Very nice hotel
Close to the village
breakfast and evening meal met our expectations with friendly staff
beautiful old property full of history with welcoming and friendly staff
my room had a bathroom along the corridor which was as expected and bathroom was clean and modern. The issue was that the room was really, really dark and smelt of damp unfortunately. The little window was easily accessible to anyone accessing the back of the property so despite the really hot weather i felt i had to keep it closed for safety reasons. My sisters twin room ,not en suite , as booked, was fine. In my room the tiny tv was really old.
