Super comfortable futons, delicious Japanese breakfast, beautiful flower arrangements and wonderful onsen.
Onsen was not very hot on a couple of the days
The grounds were beautiful and the staff were very polite

Incredibly friendly staff (although not much English spoken). Breakfast was an amazing traditional Japanese spread, frequently in a private dining room. Exceptional on-site onsen, with inside/outside options for both men and women.
Location
Too expensive for No breakfast and dinner
Verdens hyggligste Hotell vert. super service, unikt hotell. Hun skaffet skikort, transport videre og var på alle måter veldig dyktig og vi likte oss veldig godt. Det er også det reneste hotellet vi noen gang har bodd på, helt fabelaktig sted.
很有日式特色的旅館

incredible onsen, far better than the public ones. Innkeepers are so hospitable and accomodating. The rooms are so cute. Don’t even think just book this if it’s available.
Naraya Nozawa Onsen is in a great location. Just a few minutes from the covered Yu moving walkway that takes you straight to the hikage information center, where shirakaba rentals and ski/ snowboard school and the gondola is. The ryokan is centrally located and easy to walk around the town. The breakfast was great but you need to reserve over 24 hours in advance. We stopped by tanuki a few times to get pastries.
The Onsen was nice especially after a day of skiing and snowboarding.
The staff was helpful and dried our ski clothes every night and also dried our shoes the day they got soaked in the snow.
A little pricey but it is a well kept traditional ryokan, staff was attentive, the Onsen is small but nice, they provide drying services every night for ski clothes and the location is very convenient.
The attentiveness of the host was exceptional. We did a trek through the snow monkey park and our shoes were muddied. We cleaned it off as best as we could at the park but without the right cleaning materials, it was our best effort. The host noticed and we were so amazed that we had cleaned and dried shoes the next morning. The Ryokan was beautiful and well kept with love and with attention to every details. The indoor onsen was a God send after a cold day out in the snow and skiing. We love the experience at the Ryokan. Try their Keiseiki dinner! So good!

Akiko was so kind and helpful. The traditonal room was comfortable and spacious, and we like having a private toliet. There are rooms with private showers/ baths, but we didn't need it because showered at the onsen. We absolutely loved our nightly onsen experience. We had Japanese breakfast one morning, and it was a special and delicious experience.
We love everything, and only important to note to request breakfast least 24 hours in advance.
An absolutely beautiful ryokan. Perfect location. Indoor and outdoor onsen were well maintained and very peaceful given the limited number of rooms at the property. The owner was incredibly helpful with organizing anything we needed (dinner reservations, luggage transfers, taxis). The breakfast every morning was something to look forward to. Can’t recommend this ryokan highly enough. The highlight of our stay in Japan.
Nothing - stay was perfect
Cosy and amazing Ryokan! Staff and food great too. Right by the Yu walkway. Highly recommend
Location was perfect - short walk to the bus stop, restaurants, and to the moving walkway up to the mountain.
Hotel was a beautiful, historical ryokan. Our room had a lovely sitting area looking over the road - perfect for a cup of tea. Staff was very accommodating.
