Raalmadu Wilpattu

Warm welcome at arrival. The staff is always happy to help. The food was really good and more than enough. A really beautiful location in the middle of the jungle. It was my birthday during our staying and they surprised me with a private little party which was very thoughtful.

Very accommodating host ,Kumar looked after us very well.
;An isolated location in the Jungle, The roads sadly had been damaged during storms earlier in the year, so exciting jeep journeys were needed to reach the Reserves.
The food was very well presented and delicious
Guest appearance from a local elephant was an added bonus.and the variety of birds in the camp was another treat

Everything. Location was very quiet and secluded. The room we had was excellent and the pool area was fantastic. Wildlife around the resort was awesome with monkeys, crocodiles in the lagoon and birds aplenty!!!

Kuma and his staff were very attentive to our needs and provided exceptional customer service, always happy to help with anything we needed. They arranged a fantastic tour of Wilpattu NP, with a great lunch provided. Thank you Kuma for a wonderful stay. I would recommend your accommodation to anyone travelling to Wilpattu NP.

Het ontbijt en keuze van menu

Fantastiskt läge mitt i djungeln med aporna skuttandes i träden! Rummet var jättefint och mysigt! Maten som serverades var väldigt god men tyvärr kall?! Frukosten var underbar och Kuma gjorde verkligen allt för att vi skulle ha en bra vistelse och det hade vi☺️ Poolen var underbar! Boendet ordnade med jeep till safarin och hämtade o skjutsade oss ”ut till o från ” vägen där vår taxi lämnade o hämtade oss!

Fantastiskt läge ute i djungeln, du bor verkligen mitt i naturen och hör alla djungelljud genom de öppna rummen. Otroligt fint att sitta ute på balkongen i soluppgången.

Ordnade med pickup till safarin och vi fick med oss frukostpaket.
Kuma är väldigt gästfri och vill verkligen se till att du har det bra. Mycket god mat, bästa frukosten.

The staff and manager Kuma were really welcoming and attentive. The rooms were lovely and very in keeping with the safari theme. The pool was stunning and a great place to hang out.

Mr. Kuma is de chef en staat bij alles voor je klaar. Het camp is gelegen in de jungle waardoor het een hele leuke ervaring is. De aapjes slingeren in de bomen rond de kamers.

Wir haben uns rundum sehr wohl gefühlt und „no problem“ :-) Manager Koma hat uns sehr gut betreut. Die Lage mitten im Dschungel ist einfach phänomenal. Wir wären so gerne länger geblieben!

This beautiful resort was the perfect stay near Wilpattu. Very remote and peaceful, surrounded by nature including watching monkeys from the pool! We stayed in the private suite, which was lovely and newly refurbished with everything you need. The staff were amazing and catered to every need - sorting our safari for us and cooking delicious meals. Kuma was particularly attentive and hospitable and made sure we had the most wonderful stay. We would recommend this to anyone who would like a quiet escape in nature with the best hosts!

Alles. Van het onthaal tot het uitchecken en nog daarna. Kuma was er van begin tot einde. De kamers waren proper, we werden goed begeleid, kregen veel uitleg over de omgeving, hij nam ons mee naar het water om een krokodil te spotten in het donker,… Goede communicatie vooraf, waardoor we nog avondeten hebben kunnen eten na aankomst (zeer lekker). Wij gingen op safari, geregeld door het verblijf, ook dit was prima geregeld, we kregen vooraf papieren waardoor we sneller binnen konden in het park en kregen ontbijt en lunch mee. Werkelijk alles was hier geweldig! Zeker een aanrader!

Bij aankomst werden we ontzettend warm ontvangen door de manager, Kuma. Hij stond meteen voor ons klaar met een heerlijk welkomstdrankje en vertelde enthousiast over de locatie en de mogelijkheden in de omgeving. Dat voelde direct heel gastvrij.

Omdat we de volgende ochtend graag op safari wilden, regelde hij werkelijk alles tot in de puntjes. We werden keurig op tijd opgehaald, kregen een goed gevulde ontbijtbox mee en er was zelfs genoeg water voor onderweg. De safari zelf was een geweldige ervaring en dankzij de goede organisatie konden we er volop van genieten, zonder ergens aan te hoeven denken.

De locatie is bovendien schitterend: midden in de natuur, heerlijk rustig en een perfecte uitvalsbasis om te ontspannen na een dag vol activiteiten. De kamers waren schoon en verzorgd, precies zoals je het hoopt als je aankomt.
Wat ons verblijf echt bijzonder maakte, was de persoonlijke aandacht van Kuma. Hij deed er werkelijk alles aan om het ons zo prettig mogelijk te maken. Niets was te veel gevraagd, en dat merk je aan alles.

Kortom: wij raden iedereen van harte aan om hier te verblijven. Een prachtige plek met een geweldige service waar je je meteen welkom voelt!

Dichtbij het park en heerlijk eten bij de accommodatie. De manager wil het graag naar je zin maken en doet daar zijn best voor.

The place is quite off-beat and quaint, you’ll feel at peace. The rooms are spacious & people are nice! Meet mr. Kuma who is a great host :)

We had a wonderful stay at Raalmadu Wilpattu. The safari experience was absolutely amazing, and the natural surroundings made it truly special. The hotel manager, Kuma, took excellent care of us and always made sure we felt welcome and looked after.

The room was simple and rustic, but that’s exactly what you would expect in the middle of the jungle — it added to the charm and authentic feeling of the place.

The only small downside was that the private pool next to our room wasn’t usable at the time. However, they are currently building a larger pool, and we are sure it will be fantastic once it’s finished.

Overall, we can highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique jungle experience with warm hospitality and unforgettable safaris!

The best part was definitely the kind manager Kuma Malawana 10/10 service and customer orientation. The welcoming in the evening with their jeep to take us the last 5km in the facility was super nice and we even spotted an elefant family.
The private room was very roomy and looked as the pictures indicate.
The food was very tasty and well presented, although always served cold which was a slight bummer.

Fue una experiencia muy auténtica y el personal fue maravilloso. El hotel se encuentra totalmente apartado en la naturaleza y pegado a los límites del parque natural. Si quieres tranquilidad y una verdadera inmersión en al naturaleza, es un sitio estupendo. Nosotros disfrutamos muchísimos. Además el personal es muy atento y súper agradable y particularmente Kuma, el encargado, estuvo muy pendiente en todo momento, no solo del hotel y el alojamiento, si no en que tuviésemos una experiencia completa. Se preocupó de nuestras alergias, cenamos verdadera comida típica de Sri Lanka y nos explicó que era cada cosa y como comerlo y hasta nos llevó a ver elefantes. Sin duda, recomendaríamos a cualquier amigo hospedarse aquí.
