Executive suites were large and comfortable for a family of 4. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Early check-in fee when arriving early and a room is available. Member lounge canapes were rubbish.
Close and convenient to Heathrow Terminal 2 a& 3. Our room was clean and spacious and the bed was comfortable. Lovely fluffy white towels in the bathroom and nice toiletries.
Breakfast was fabulous, we were spoilt for choice
Because of the black decor, the room was quite dark and was more so because one of the bedside globe lights didn’t work and both of the bedside reading lights were not working.
The bar and reception was cold, ok we’d come from 34’C to 10’ and windy, but the wind just blew through the revolving door and side door. It was uncomfortable to sit and eat there, we only wanted a snack and a beer.

Rooms are great and handy location for Heathrow
Approximately 15 minutes after checking in, the fire alarm sounded. I immediately evacuated via the nearest fire exit and proceeded to the designated muster point. Only a few people were present there.
Concerned that others might not be aware of the alarm, I walked around to the front of the hotel where the main muster point is located. I found that reception staff were still checking guests in as normal.
I asked the receptionist, “Are you aware that a fire alarm is currently sounding on the 4th floor?” I was told that the alarms are routinely tested on Monday afternoons and that they must have forgotten to inform me of this when I checked in.
Later that evening, I became stuck in the lift. After some time I eventually managed to get it to the ground floor. I informed reception of the issue, only to be told, “Yes, we know — maintenance are on the way.” If the lift was already known to have a fault, I question why it had not been taken out of service to prevent guests from using it.
