Beautiful traditional hotel
Pros:

A beautiful hotel, very peaceful and traditional. So wonderfully quiet and full of nature in the gardens including a local white barn owl
The room was exceptionally clean and had everything you needed

Pleasant, but hotel needs serious upgrade
Pros:

Excellent location, pleasant staff (only one!), quirky, comfortable.

Cons:

Property is beautiful but tired. In need of refurbishment. Lovely gardens but not well maintained and the driveway needs sharpening up. Poor first impressions. Juxtaposition with Hilltop completely ignored in marketing.

Staying at Sawry House felt like being a guest in a grand manor house.
Pros:

Great location just down the road from Hilltop which was the focus of our visit. Super big room, delicious breakfast, very comfy bed. David is an exceptional host- very friendly and attentive.

Cons:

It was all great. The shower took a little while to warm up but that was the only very minor hiccup.

David done everything to make are stay comfortable, prices of alcohol reasonable and pizza very good
