We thought there was a bit of 'style over substance' going on.

Bedroom was a bit dark. Lots of cobwebs in various locations. Breakfast was disappointing: several choices were not available.

Great birthday stay in Cirencester
Pros:

The decor was lovely and the beds comfortable. The rooms had quirky touches. The bath products were amazing.

Cons:

The breakfast took over an hour and a half to be served and the food for our party came out at radically different times. The scrambled eggs were undercooked, the poached eggs overcooked and the avocado waxy. We did not go back for our second morning despite it being included. We did feel sorry for the one very young chef who was trying his best - he clearly needed help and they need to put more staff on.

Two bulbs in our room were broken so the room was very dark.

Our stay at Ingleside House was a pleasant experience in a lovely quaint Coswolds Inn.
Pros:

The hotel is a lovely old quaint Inn. The staff friendliness, location to parking / town center and
breakfasts are exceptional.

Cons:

Access to guest rooms making it challenging to navigate luggage. The guest rooms are dark and dimly light.

Pros:

Great decor, fabulous location. Lovely outside space and breakfast was excellent.

Cons:

Room was quite warm, needed to open window but road noise was loud. Shampoo dispenser was blocked.

I don't think many good reviews we read about this hotel reflected what we experienced.
Pros:

The public parking across the road form the hotel was plentiful and cheap.

Cons:

Cleanliness was poor throughout although the bedroom was just about acceptably clean. The hotel was overpriced in our opinion. Breakfast was average at best. A strange, deep, humming noise was audible in our bedroom throughout the night which didn't make for a good nights sleep.
