A Promising Stay Let Down by Darts!
Pros:

The first room (Room 6) has been recently decorated and was quite nice. The tea facilities were good. The shower room was well maintained. The fresh decor was nice. The think-pile carpets are lovely and the bed was comfortable. The staff did their best to help with issues too. And yes, there were a couple.

Cons:

Nice HD TV but it loses signal - lots. Annoying. There are no external windows, so it feels rather enclosed. There is a skylight window in the ceiling but, it's FEB, it's dark and it offers no view. Also, when you go to sleep, an external strong light, lights up the room from that window. I'm OK with that personally but if you like complete darkness - you won't get that. Oh, and there was a random, large empty box left in the wardrobe for me to admire too...

Darts - you hear BANG, BANG, BANG all night. It went on and on for hours. It transpires that there was a darts tournament on and the thin partition wall in the hallway, has the dart board directly on the other side. BANG, BANG, BANG... they sound like they were throwing axes! I emailed the owner and after 30 minutes, she came to the door (looking cross) and informed me that the darts will go on all night. She offered me a new room, which I accepted but, the new room was not as nice and was dated and smelt a bit. But at least it was quiet. If it was decorated like Room 6, it would have been great.

If I were to be honest, I probably won't go back but I did appreciate that they tried to resolve the noise issue.

Clean, well located and nice place to stay, Just be ware the WC door handles are to open.
Pros:

The Swan was OK, not bad not excellent 5star hotel but a nice comfortable place to rest your head, good location for MK and links to London.

Cons:

small bad points things that are at the right high so you can bang your head or catch them on the back of the bathroom door, and a door handle that you have to arms like garth to open to get into and out of the bathroom.

A very pleasant stay, I have booked there many times. Rooms always very clean, friendly staff.
Pros:

A very pleasant stay, I have booked there many times. Rooms always very clean, friendly staff and a good location for what I needed.

Cons:

Nothing really, perhaps a simple, boxed continental breakfast would be an idea as breakfast only served at the weekends.
