Lovely place to stay, away from the hustle-bustle. Go for the food even if you aren’t staying there
Pros:

I like everything about the Víctor Hugo hotel. I have stayed there many times. The owner and staff are always very nice. Parking is inside a locked gate, so it’s safe and secure. They have a pool table and give yoga classes and have excellent food. They are right on the beach. The rooms are air-conditioned, spacious and never mwith a little balconies. I love the dog energy and the mosaics and I always find something new and interesting. whenever I go there.

Cons:

I would love to see more colorful vegetables on the menu. Like broccoli, green beans, or green peas, eggplant, squash, etc. Ecuador culturally depends heavily on starches like rice and patecones, but they have a lot of veggies at the market so it’s curious that they aren’t on menus very often.

Been here twice. Makes a excellent base to explore from.
Pros:

There was coffee and hot water for tea ready every morning which I had before my morning walk on the beach.
The choices was excellent from lite to large.
Very good portion of fruit before our breakfast dish.

Cons:

A warm bun came with breakfast but toast would have been nice for change, ( may have been available but ask ever)
