The mangroves were beautiful. The staff was friendly. There was internet. There was a nice porch area.
We chose this property because we were walking from Santiago to San Francisco and we thought it would be about halfway, but Google maps had it pinned in a different spot than it really was. It was only about 2k from Santiago, and there are much better accomodations there for cheaper. The sign on the property did not say "Sonia's" so we walked by while carrying all of our baggage and had to backtrack. When we got there we went to check out the mangroves and saw an old fat white dude messing around with a young Filipino girl. It gave me a creepy vibe. The photos do not match the property at all. There was no toilet seat and the sheets were stiff polyester and plastic lined on the bottom. It was situated by a loud, busy road. The owner tried to charge us more than booking had said the price would be, and it was already priced very high compared to other rooms of similar caliber.
