The breakfast was pretty decent.
Numerous things. For the $300/night (with taxes, fees etc) I expected more courtesy and things to work. One of the accesses to the pool did not workand it was noisy related to the work going on. In addition, when I first came they immediately charged me for valet parking without asking if I had a car, which I didn't. The worst of all the front desk staff (three different people) would not give me a late checkout (an hour was all I was asking). All indicated that they were booked solid for the kind of room I had. Then why were there at least four rooms available at check out time when I went online to see availability?? I feel like the front desk staff were not honest with me.
Great location. Free breakfast was wonderful. Hotel was good- staff was fine ( not great or hospitable) and we enjoyed our stay. The walk from the elevator was ridiculously long. I don’t understand the layout of the hotel or why they did it that way. I used the stairs most of the time because the elevator was so far away from our room. The forced valet parking was appropriate for being near a beach but it wasn’t the quality of a hotel that should force you to valet. Overall good experience.

We love this hotel! It's a short walk to the beach (3-5 minutes tops), convenient to the handful of restaurants and shops on the Vilano beach side of St. Augustine, and a simple drive into the historic old downtown. It's the best of all the things St. Augustine has to offer, and we enjoy staying at this hotel tremendously.

I did not get the room I paid for and was told it was by something else when it was not. So the staff did not wanna satisfy what I paid for and proof that I did pay for what I was hoping to get!
