Accueil très chaleureux et d’une gentillesse ! Les chambres sont très agréables et la piscine est vraiment super ! Ils vous préparent le petit déjeuner à emporter si vous devez partir pour un safari a 5h du matin.

Dit hotel wordt door fijne mensen gerund. We kregen fantastische tips over wat je kan doen in de omgeving. We gingen naar de fruitbat colony en we gingen naar Kataragama Perahera wat een heel bijzondere ervaring was.
Naast NP Yala is er voor toeristen niet super veel te doen, maar met hun advies de mooiste belevenis meegemaakt hier!
En ja, ook een luipaard gezien!

Wat een mooi hotel, vakkundig personeel, ontzettend schoon, prachtig zwembad en goed restaurant. Echt een aanrader. Voor ons zou dit hotel 5 sterren krijgen.

Thanks to the great organized Safari to Yala Nationalpark and to our guide Channa. An amazing tour with multiple leopards, elephant herd with baby elephants, bear mother with bear club, eagles and much more.

Hotel River Front offers a fantastic stay in every aspect except for the relatively high price. We booked a safari tour through the hotel and were lucky enough to spot a leopard during the trip, which was absolutely amazing. The hostess Salad is warm and talkative, she has visited Beijing, Shanghai and Yiwu in China, so we had lots to chat about. The hotel is clean and comfortable with great service.We have an unforgettable wonderful experience here.

Kaum genug Platz um das Positive zu beschreiben.. Die Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft des Personals hätten alleine schon 11 von 10 Punkten verdient. Die Ausstattung und Sauberkeit von Zimmer und Anlage war vorbildlich. Das WLAN funktionierte einwandfrei - und auch Frühstück - sowie andere Mahlzeiten waren köstlich.
Auch die vom Hotel organisierte Safari zum Yala N.P. war TOP !
Wir haben uns hier rundum wohl gefühlt.

Wow, dit was stop 6 van onze reis en dit was veruit het beste verblijf tot dusver. Wat een vriendelijke en behulpzame mensen, alles super proper, kamers en de rest van de accommodatie top (restaurant, zwembad, zelfs kleine gym 👍). Geweldig ontbijt en ook het eten was verder echt top. Wij eten quasi nooit in de accommodatie tijdens onze reizen omdat we andere dingen willen ontdekken. Hier was het fantastisch dus toch een aantal keer in het hotel gegeten. Safari die we boekten via het hotel was correct van prijs, Jeep en driver top dus ook een aanrader dit via deze weg te doen. Wij deden zowel Wilpattu als Minneriya al vooraf. Combinatie halve dag Minneriya (olifanten) en full day Yala is volgens ons achteraf bekeken de ideale. Yala was absoluut niet druk zoals je heel vaak leest. Héél mooi park tegen de oceaan. Tip: ga ook zeker naar de vleerhonden kijken bij het meer in Tissa rond 18u30.

El hotel es fantastico. La directora Shara estuvo siempre atenta y amable. Contratamos con ellos un safari de medio día y nos encanto. Muy recomendable.

An absolutely amazing stay! The property and the staff were wonderful, and the pool was great. A huge highlight was the incredible safari trip we got to see a leopard up close, along with so many other animals. Our driver, Madushan, was a true professional. If you book a trip, definitely ask for him!

Bel hotel pas loin du parc national de Yala. Le personnel est très accueillant. L'hôtel nous a bien conseillés par rapport aux safari, s'adapte aux horaires de safari et nous donne un petit-déjeûner à emporter si le safari commence à 5h du matin. Plusieurs repas sont disponibles à la carte, que sa soit des repas plus occidentaux ou des repas typiques sri-lankais ou du sous-continent indien. La piscine et la salle de fitness sont propres et fonctionnelles. Les chambres sont dotées de prises électriques universelles, donc pas besoin d'utiliser un adaptateur.

Wij hebben hier enorm genoten! Mooi hotel, super vriendelijk personeel, heerlijk eten en een hele goede safari in NP Yala voor ons geregeld. Echt een super hotel!

Realmente todo. Sin dudarlo el mejir hotel en el que nos hemos alojado de todo Sri Lanka. La comida riquísima, el chef muy bueno, la habitación es maravillosa, no podía ser mejor, las instalaciones, piscina, realmente todo.

Luxurious hotel with great facilities, location and staff!

Hotel River Front is an excellent base from which you can explore the surrounding national parks (Yala, Lunugamvehera, and Bundala being the closest) and the nearby Tissa Lake (an ancient reservoir from the 3rd century BCE) and Tissamaharama Raja Maha Viharaya (Buddhist temple and stupa from the 2nd century BCE). It is also a delightful hotel with an attentive and friendly staff.

Pros:
- We booked the wooden, standalone family chalet room above the fitness room and directly on the bank of the river. It is a unique room with views on two sides AND two private balconies. The room was pretty and perfect as a TRIPLE ROOM for three adults.
- The upper floor hotel rooms may say they have a river view. But we had the best river view since we were right on the bank/ beach. And through these windows and the two balconies, we saw many different birds.
- Down by the river, on the beach, we were visited by a young Asian water monitor, the bigger of two monitor lizard species endemic to Sri Lanka. We also observed a family of langur monkeys who did not appreciate long telephoto lenses pointed at them and fled the scene after baring their teeth. Fine, whatever, be that way. I was going to make them famous.
- The air conditioner and ceiling fan both come with remotes and did a good job cooling down an otherwise hot room in a hot climate (we hit 36 deg. C a couple of days!). One morning, the A/C stopped working. I messaged the front desk, and within five minutes, an army showed up at our door. While housekeeping cleaned our room, the technicians fixed the air conditioner! Very efficient.
- The food was excellent, whether we talk about the included breakfast with generous fruit platter, or the Tandoori chicken kebobs, or the Sri Lankan thali (with enough food for the three of us!). Even the French fries and potato wedges were delicious.
- The pool!
