One of the best hotels on our visit to Sri Lanka
Pros:

Friendly and welcoming staff. Very smart and well kept family run hotel with a good swimming pool. Excellent food - very impressed with presentation of food - impressive cook. Good place to stay for a Yala safari, and much cheaper than staying at a hotel in the park itself.
Recommended.

Stay there with your exact amount of money. They do not have change!
Pros:

First of all, the location is ok, the staff is ok, everything is ok and we are satisfied with the room and cleanliness.

Cons:

Before we arrived, we already had the communication via booking messenger about the distance from the hotel to Yala NP and the safari price. The manager said the hotel is just 20mins away from the NP. Which is not true, in the morning there was no traffic it was 35 mins. In the afternoon with traffic , the guide drives like a crazy man for 50 mins We started our tour at 5am. We arrived at the entrance ticket office 5.35am. But the driver let us waited in the jeep for 45 mins without telling us what to do and why? We see all the jeeps who came later than us, already left? Their driver guide just took about 10 mins to buy tickets..what happened to our guide? The manager said because the guide need to collect the tracker? But other guide.dont need to collect tracker? And we didn't see he has any tracker anyway. When we ask the guide when he is back, he was mentioning something about the government which we don't understand what he meant.

The take away breakfast to the Safari is a joke. We had so many days in Sri Lankan this is the worst breakfast ever. 2 pieces of very dry thin egg sandwich. One piece of very dry butter cake, 2 small bananas and one choc drink and one bottle of water for two of us to share. I don't expect a gourmet breakfast but the sandwich and cake is super dry which is not edible.

Another point, when we check in. We paid the room and safari USD$140 for private. The change is just USD$5, the manager need to go to somewhere to change for just $5? At night, my husband had the dinner at the hotel. The next day, he paid the dinner. Again, the manager knowing we are chrck out and will pay the dinner. They don't even have any money for change? And end up, the change is less, so in another words is like a force tipping? It this by purpose ?
So my advise is nothing wrong with the hotel as a property, the other cleaning staff are very hard working too. The only one who causing the problem is the manager.

Chilled vibe
Pros:

The staff were exceptional, professional, attentive, and welcoming throughout our stay.

Our room was spacious clean, and comfortable. We also enjoyed a delicious dinner at the restaurant; the paratha and chicken curry was tasty.

We arranged a morning safari through the accommodation and had an incredible experience with our driver, Channa, whose determination paid off when he successfully spotted a leopard for us. We were fortunate to see an impressive range of wildlife across Yala National Park.

I totally recommend you stay at this accommodation.

Perfektes Hotel als Ausgabgspunkt für eine Safari
Pros:

Wir hatten ein Superior Doppelzimmer für eine Nacht. Das Zimmer hat uns nochmal besser gefallen als auf den Bildern.
Alles sehr sauber und sehr freundliches Personal.
Ca. 40 Min zum Eingang vom Yala Nationalpark.

Pros:

Mooi hotel en superfijn zwembad. Verbleven hier om Yala international park te bezoeken. Host heeft ons geholpen met het boeken van de safari. Hebben een halve dag gedaan, wat voor ons met kids van 7 en 9 helemaal prima was. De rest van de middag heerlijk genoten van het hotel en van het restaurant. Heerlijk eten en drinken.

Einfach alles. Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Ein wirklich sehr schönes Zimmer im dritten Stock mit einer Superausstattung. geschmackvollem Badezimmer, Top Klimaanlage und Blick auf den Pool. Schöner Pool und Klasse Gym mit Klimaanlage. Tolle Lobby, entspanntes Restaurant und gute Lage. Der Garten chillig mit schönem Blick auf den Fluss und ins Grüne. Wir fanden es, schade, dass wir nur eine Nacht bleiben konnten, empfehlen dieses Hotel aber jedem uneingeschränkt weiter. Vielen Dank für einen sehr kurzen, aber eindrucksvollen Aufenthalt.

Excellent hotel! Perfect for Yala National Park
Pros:

We used this great little hotel as a base for our visit to Yala and were not disappointed. They kindly arranged a private tour using their own hotel vehicle at a very reasonable price with Channa who was an amazing and knowledgeable guide. He managed to get us great encounters with all the animals including the leopards. Couldn’t have asked for more. There is also a pool for relaxing after a long day. The staff were all fantastic and welcoming but I would like to give special mentions to Champaka and Jaya for the exemplary service level! The restaurant was well priced and served very good food. Complementary breakfast was an added bonus. 100% recommended.
