Ariya Tissa

This is without a doubt the most beautiful place we stayed in during our time in Sri Lanka.

Ariya Tissa is an incredible hotel, cared for down to the smallest detail. The room was absolutely beautiful, the property itself is stunning, and every little corner feels special.

But what truly makes this place unforgettable are its people. The staff are incredibly professional, kind, empathetic, friendly and genuinely wonderful. From the moment we arrived until the moment we said goodbye, they made us feel completely at home. We had such lovely conversations and beautiful exchanges about our different cultures, which made our stay even more meaningful.

It was such an incredible experience that we honestly wished we could have stayed one more night!

A little tip: have dinner here! We had the best meal of our entire trip in Sri Lanka. We chose the full menu and absolutely did not regret it, every dish was delicious and beautifully prepared.

We truly recommend booking a stay here. It is a fantastic place, but the people who make it special are even more so. We will remember Ariya Tissa and the wonderful people we met here for a very long time.

Indika, il gestore, e il suo staff sono persone fantastiche! Gentilissime, sempre disponibili e con un grande sorriso. Indika ci ha cucinato la cena e la colazione, una delle più buone mai mangiate in Sri Lanka. Complimenti al team!!!

Selten so freundliche Mitarbeiter in einer Unterkunft erlebt. Es wurde sich sehr viel Mühe mit den schönen Zimmern (insgesamt 2) gemacht und der Besitzer hat abends super lecker frisch für uns gekocht, nachdem wir nachmittags etwas von der Karte bei ihm bestellt haben. Die Betten waren sehr bequem, es war ruhig und die Lage war super für unsere Yala-Safari am nächsten Tag. Absolute Empfehlung!

The husband and wife team were absolutely fantastic. They cooked a wonderful traditional Sri Lankan dinner feast for 4 of us that I won’t forget for a while. They also arranged our trip to Yala National park. Very competitive pricing. Ariya Tissa was a good base for our short stay in Tisssa.

숙소 사장님이 요리 정말 잘하시구 섬세하게 이것저것 다 잘챙겨 주셨어요! 연계되어있는 사파리 투어까지 했는데 Nissanka가이드님 덕분에 표범도 3마리나 보고 원하는 동물들 말씀드리니 정말 하나도 빠짐없이 다 보고왔어요! 숙소사장님이 새벽부터 조식도시락도 챙겨주시고 사파리 다녀와서 먹을 버팔로 요거트도 너무 너무 맛있었어요! 숙소 위치 시내에서 멀지않아 밥집도 많았고 걸어서 3분정도 거리에 한국라면집도 있었어요! 사장님 진짜 계속 필요한건 없는지 물어봐주시고 사파리 끝나고 피곤했는데 좋은 호텔에서 아주아주 푹쉬다가 호강하고 간 느낌이에요!! 완전 추천합니다!!

Cosy lite place just at the edge of Tissa. The place very clean and bathroom in great condition. The best part of our stay however was the food. I would say eating dinner or lunch here at least once is a must. The owner could help us arrange both transport and safari

Indika was excellent, helped organise tours, laundry, the food he cooked was amazing, even put on a quasi cooking class. Extremely helpful. I liked the location being out of town, quieter and near enough to walk into town when needed. Lovely spot.

Very modern and the host was very helpful

We were generally lucky with the properties we chose in Sri Lanka and the service they provided, but this place was on another level. The staff were exceptional and took such great care of us throughout our stay. I highly recommend booking the safari through the property as well—it was a fantastic experience and very well organized. They also helped us with laundry, which we truly appreciated after arriving from the rainy north with everything wet and dirty. We would definitely love to come back, even just for the amazing atmosphere.

Pour l’instant il n’y a que 2 chambres dans l’établissement mais 2 autres vont arriver prochainement. Notre chambre était spacieuse et bien équipée, la salle de bain très jolie et spacieuse aussi. L’endroit est très paisible et le seul murmure est celui des oiseaux. Le gérant est magnifique et très volontaire pour bien faire. Vous serez donc ravi de passer 1 ou plusieurs nuits dans cet établissement.

The rooms were super new and spacious—you could feel how fresh it was as soon as you walked in. The staff were really friendly and ready to do anything to help. I only stayed one day, but I left so happy.

There are not enough good words to say about this accommodation. Stylish, contemporary architecture and the best shower in all of Sri Lanka! Indika, the manager, is an outstanding host who helped arrange tours and transport. This man brings love to everything he does. He’s also an excellent cook who prepared amazing dinners, and wonderful breakfasts. We were very well cared for during our five night stay.
