I could live their
Pros:

What a place. Lake view in a cabana. Wonderfull. I book the safari in the Yala National park with them because their were perfect host. Laundry service. Place to parc car or scooter. Everything 5/5 thank you for this moment.

Lovely place by the lake and friendly family.
Pros:

The proximity to nature made this stay so peaceful. It’s nice to stay with a family. They made us great food and organised the safari for us. Lots of shaded outside area by the lake to relax.

Cons:

It’s a little out of town, but we didn’t mind.

Être accueilli et partager avec autant de chaleur humaine fait chaud au cœur ❤️. Jamais nous ne les oublierons et espérons bien y revenir. Ils se mettent en quatre pour vous aider si besoin
La cuisine est préparée avec amour et délicieuse.
L endroit atypique vous offrira une vue magnifique sur le lac avec des levés du soleil aux somptueuses couleurs. A RECOMMANDER !!!

Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt und würden wieder buchen
Pros:

Sehr herzlicher Empfang man hatte das Gefühl zur Familie zu gehören. Das Essen ist ausgezeichnet. Man geht auf alle Wünsche ein. Das Grundstück mit dem angrenzenden See ist wunderschön. Auch der gebuchte Transfer zum nächsten Ort hat super geklappt.🙋‍♀️👍

It was just as I expected and a wonderful surprise 😮 the staff were great 👍
No flyscreens but there are mosquito nets over the bed. Breakfast was yummy

I don't really have a negative but for others there are no flyscreens on any windows.

Afternoon breeze from the lake was really appreciated.
Pros:

Lovely view over the lake from the balcony, and the young lady was delightful, always smiling and happy to help

Very basic, more like glamping with out the glamour

They had a nice dog and the staff were friendly when we arrived

Cons:

We knew it was budget but the accommodation was poorly lit, not particularly clean, full of bugs and the bed linen was both inadequate and damp. We left after the first night, the property recorded us as a no show. We paid for two nights but even though the site said USD the owners wanted rupees which we didn’t have. They got very annoyed about that. We paid for the food with rupees. They were not friendly when we left

Sehr schöne Lage am See. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt in der Lakeview Cabana.  Das Abendessen ist hervorragend und die Gastgeberfamilie wirklich nett. Sie schicken mir sogar ein vergessenes Shirt nach. Danke vielmals. Wir kommen gern wieder.

Pros:

Domki nad samym jeziorem, prawie jak w dzungli ale czyste , przewiewne z klimatem :), gospodyni miła i pomocna, zamówilismy też u nich kolacje , prawdziwy Lankijski posiłek oraz taxi z Ella i 2 Jeepy na safari . Wszystko idealnie .
Jako premia koło domku potrwafia zjawić sie np warany :) Super

Cons:

Unfortunately there was rat poison in the room beneath the beds. That was giving off a real hatsh smell. While it's understandable that it is necessary maybe there is also another way to prevent rodents.

Authentic experience with beautiful hosts.
Pros:

Epic experience! We stayed in the tree house, it was perfect for our 2 families of 4. We also had dinner cooked there, adults had the Sri Lankan curry and kids had chicken noodles, highly recommend and so much food. As there aren’t restaurants around, this is the best option.
The location is beautiful and peaceful, staying directly on the river, you’ll see beautiful birds, monkeys and if you’re lucky, a crocodile.
The owners son is 10, his name is Manjet and he’s lovely, his smile is heart melting. If anyone is heading over, I know he’d love a cricket bat if you have room in your language.
We also booked our safari directly through the property, this worked well for us as we had a jeep to ourselves and were well cared for.
Make sure you take cash as there are no atm’s close.
Yala is about a 35 minute drive from the accommodation. We saw elephants, mongoose, crocodiles, deer, water buffalo, heaps of beautiful birds and monkeys.

Pros:

Authentic experience with the outdoor kitchen, the food that the hosts made. One of the best dinners we had. They were very helpful hosts and kind. We took the Yala safari with them, and they also helped organise our transfer to Ella with the Udawalawa safari on the way.
