Do not trust this hotel
Cons:

My reservation was cancelled by the hotel, but I received no notification. There were a number of bike riders who had booked into the hotel who had the same experience.

Centrally located in village. Good value for money.
Pros:

Centrally located pub/hotel in village with free car parking. Good value for money. Comfy bed. Easy check in at the bar in the pub.

Cons:

My room should have been cleaner. Lots of dust and a dirty carpet. It needs a deep clean (room 12). Water pressure in shower was poor. Noise from the bar in the evening and traffic in the morning. The Greyhound does not serve breakfast.

Convenient.
Pros:

Convenient location for my needs. Great that they were happy to accommodate me leaving my car with them for an extra night while I attended an event locally.

Cons:

Room was a bit dusty, quite noisy, overlooking the courtyard and road; couldn't open the curtains as anyone sitting in the courtyard would be able to look straight into the room.
I had Sausage & Mash for dinner. It was OK. Sausages seemed like they'd been cooked again having been left over at breakfast? But other people seemed to enjoy their Indian food, which is what they are known for.

Nice Hotel, but could do a lot better
Pros:

Had to rely on either the side table lamps or accept the flickering center light, which made the room dark

Cons:

Didn't like the fact that I was allocated a room that was being used by another guest, ie double booked and had to settle for a double room opposed to a twin room which I had originally requested. Had no kettle to make tea in the morning, had a ironing board but no iron, the tap to the hand basin was running all night as it could not be turned off, the shower door was broken, the shower was not that clean, water pressure low and not that hot the.

Greyhound
Pros:

The location .
The restaurant menu was brilliant and good value

Cons:

The room was tired though the bed was very comfortable.
The ensuite was poor, no plug in the sink, the shower had only cold water. The whole room needed to be replaced with a pumped hot water system. Shower fittings were rusty and needed to be replaced
