The contactless payment machine was playing up
Chambre calme, propre, équipée avec café et thé, restaurant top, petit déjeuner parfait, personnel à l’écoute
Nous avons eu une chambre sous les toits, il faisait chaud sans climatisation. Le WIFI ne fonctionnait pas.
Great place to stay, staff really friendly and helpful
Mattresses = good; food was excellent
The attic room: no window view; smell of cooking from the kitchen below; lift did not extend to the attic room (occupants aged 75 and 83)

Outstanding Inn. Staff and service were great. Dinner and Breakfast were delicious!
No reflection on the Inn, however, the wifi and reception were average.
So far as the Inn is concerned, nothing. Brilliant establishment.
The rooms, the food, the atmosphere.
Nothing
Breakfast was excellent. The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable
The design and decoration was lovely. Staff were very nice.
Wasn’t clean. Dried hair from the previous stay on the shower wall and dirty mugs. I sent an email (with images) to the hotel to inform them and they just ignored me.
Pristine, possibly newly built pub. Tastefully decorated with top quality bedding and furnishings.
I’m really looking for something here…..there was no screen on the shower but as it was a disabled room, it had to be this way.
We had booked the Oak Room some months in advance. When we got there, we found they had given it to someone else. We were given a less good room. They promised us a refund of £50. But when we came to pay the bills we found they had failed to account for the amount we had paid through Booking.com. We later found that they had failed to give the £50 discount, We tried complaining to them, and then via Booking.com, but have still received no answer or explanation.
Superb stay at the Lime Tree Inn. Friendly, accommodating staff, clean, well presented rooms and a top notch chef in the kitchen. Breakfast and dinner was delicious. I can’t fault my experience.
Nothing to dislike.
The evening dining experience was excellent, as was breakfast. Top quality food, perfectly & expertly prepared by the chef by engaging staff. The only reason for not scoring top marks is the welcome / checking in was rather cool with the owners not involved in the process. The bedrooms are spacious and nicely fitted out in the relatively new building (5yrs old). There is a lift to the first floor where the bigger rooms are. The two attic rooms have plenty of daylight but no view due to velux attic windows.
Very cosy wood fire in the pub. Kind staff. Rooms immaculate and seemed newly refurbed. 10/10
