Important information:

Please note that the hotel is entirely nonsmoking.

Please note that from the end of December until the beginning of April, the hotel can only be reached by 2 cable cars and 1 tunnel train. The rate for using these means of guided transport is CHF 74 per person and is not included in the room rate. The cable car operates from Innertkirchen between 11:00 and 13:00. Guests will receive a plan and a time for arrival two weeks before their check-in date.

Please note further that the property is closed on Mondays.

Die Lage ist atemberaubend. Das Personal TOP und äußerst hilfsbereit und freundlich. Das Hotel, die Zimmer gemütlich, liebevoll und mit Stil eingerichtet. Das Nachtessen "ein Gedicht".

Pros:

The hotel is beautiful, full of charm, and perfectly integrated into the natural surroundings. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and the staff was overall friendly. The interior has a lot of character, which made the stay very pleasant.

Cons:

One downside, however: in the morning we were reminded not to start our cars, even though it was cold and we only wanted to warm them up for a couple of minutes. We understand the ecological point, but let’s be realistic: without combustion engines, this hotel would not even exist today. Guests who come with petrol or diesel cars should not be disregarded, especially since there were not many Teslas in the parking lot that morning.

Pros:

A beautiful hotel, even if the weather is grim outside. They went above and beyond when my partner realised she’d left her sunglasses in the room and the hotel not only found them but posted them to us in the UK at no extra cost.

A perfect stop for exploring the Grimsel and Furka passes, plus the hotel has a parking garage - useful for keeping your motorbike out of the elements over night. Exceptional dinner (reflected in the price, but worth it!) and lovely staff.

Cons:

Expensive, but it’s worth it for the location and quality of the hotel.
