Worth a stop. Loved taking a step back in history.
Pros:

Love the old world charm, comfortable bed and decent pillows. The grounds and town are stunning and worth stopping for.

Cons:

The dinner was mediocre and not great value for the price. Breakfast was lovely. It was difficult to get the attention of staff at dinner and drinks chap was positively rude. The shame is that some of the same staff at breakfast were delightful.

Magical, magical, magical. Left a piece of my heart at The Lord Milner.
Pros:

Magical place! It feels like you are stepping back in time! The hotel has been kept very true to its original character from 1899. Very comfortable beds and luxury linens. The staff, including the very gracious manager, are exceptional and make you feel like you are part of their family. We loved our holiday there and can’t wait to visit again! The complimentary breakfast is incredible. So many choices including baked goods, home made breads, and the most delicious omelettes. We felt a little sad when it was time to go home, and that says everything.

Cons:

We loved everything so I have nothing to say here except that for some it may be a problem that there was no TV in the suite we stayed in, which for us was absolutely fine because we went for a walk and looked at the stars. The night skies are absolutely breathtaking.

Pros:

The food, EXCELLENT.
The staff, wonderful, polite, kind, helpful.
The hotel a glorious visit into the past

Cons:

Both bathrooms in the 2 rooms we had were not up to scratch
Room 33. Bath was slippery, and my family member battled to get out. Dangerous. The water pressure was poor.
Room 33a. The shower over the bath was disastrous. There was hardly any flow of water. The shower head requires cleaning so water can squirt out. The bath is VERY slippery.
Dining room is beautiful, but the window ledges are not clean.

Haben uns wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder
Pros:

Hervorragendes Fillet Mignon zum Abendessen, reichhaltiges Frühstück mit sehr guter Auswahl.
Und eine Stadtrundfahrt, die im Preis enthalten ist ... und was für eine Stadtrundfahrt. Hilarious!!!

Cons:

Das Hotel ist kaum belegt und trotzdem quartiert man Gäste nebeneinander ein.

Sehr schönes Ambiente (Queen Victoria)
Pros:

Man fühlt sich sofort 100 Jahre zurückversetzt, alte Bilder (inkl. Queen Victoria) und alte Möbel, ein feudaler Treppenaufgang, ein grosser Dining Room, etc. Das Gelände ist riesig, mit mehreren Swimming Pools und einem weitläufigen Garten. Das Frühstück und Abendessen ist sehr gut, und das Personal sehr freundlich. Wirklich spitze, dass es so etwas noch gibt.
Dass nicht alles auf dem letzten Stand ist, nimmt man sehr gerne in Kauf.

Substandard rooms (and I don’t mind the antiquity) but excellent staff.
Pros:

No television. No blowdryer. Kettle far from wall socket.

I understand the appeal - but too expensive to not have the amenities mentioned.
