During check-in, I was then requested to make additional payment for extra guests, which came as a surprise as this was not transparently communicated beforehand.

For clarity, I had booked the room based on the information available at the time, and any additional charges should have been clearly disclosed prior to confirmation and payment. The lack of upfront transparency has caused inconvenience and dissatisfaction.
