La ubicación es excelente, a unos pasos de la Quinta Avenida y la terminal alterna de autobuses a unas cuantas cuadras.
Los colchones de la habitación son incómodos.
Todo muy bien solo no me agrado que me cambiaran las tarifas en el hotel me subieron el precio además de cobrarme $200 más por garantía cuando salimos querían quedarse los $200 según por haber fumado en la habitación y ni mi compañero y yo fumamos

The lovely manager kindly moved us to a room with air conditioning. I had an issue and It was dealt with in a professional manner. The hotel grounds are beautiful. It was in a central location right by the beach. It was spotlessly clean and amazing value for money considering how expensive this area is. All of the staff were polite and helpful. If you are on a budget this place is perfect.
It could be quite noisy at night time. Not the hotels fault but the nightclubs nearby.
If you don’t need fancy, this is an awesome choice. It was very clean and comfortable. Steps from 5th Ave and the beach. Though it was so close to the party scene, the noise wasn’t bad. The pool was nice, clean, and quiet. It also gets great sun during the day.
Other reviewers have said that it’s hard to find but the front of the building looks exactly like it does in the photos but it’s between two dive shops if you need better landmarks.
The staff was nice and helpful and the desk is open 24 hours, so if you need to check out at 2am, there’s someone to help you.

I was certainly upset because I wanted to cancel my stay and they charge me the total amount if I cancel.that why I stayed.very bad cancelation policy
Cancelation policy....you can't cancel if you don't like the place. They forced me to stay .because anyway they will charge my credit card..very bad
Hotel is a scam. There is no hotel by that name at the location or at the geo location which is different. The phone number and messages went unanswered.

Just the noise at night.. but this was downtown Playa on a Saturday night (to be expected).

Options to pay with credit card was not possible. Lack of decorations made the room feel cheap and like we should've played less. The Check out inspection took forever and he didn't have enough change to give us back our full deposit.
Please be more friendly with hosters :)
I didn´t like how serious where the attenders
Would only accept cash (no credit card whatsoever), would not accept USD, no ATMs anywhere near hotel that dispensed local currency (only USD), & very unhelpful & rude.
Wonderful place to stay in Playa del Carmen! Incredibly friendly and welcoming hotel to stay at while visiting in Playa and always one step ahead keeping your visit as stress free as possible during your holiday. Clean, quiet, close to all Playa offers from 5th avenue and Zenzi Beach one block away, and safe area with presence of the policia and main taxi stand for city wide transportation available feet away and helping or make a safe trip to Playa for a a great time!
I cannot think of one negative experience at Hotel D’Margo as I travel frequently and nearly ALL major Hotel brands including resorts like Hilton/Hyatt regularly have inconvenient maintenance, technical, or staffing issues that contribute to increased stress and problems during your resort vacation! Call or visit hotel D’Margo direct also to book!
Hotel D’Margo is a fantastic hotel in a great location because you are nestled between a white sandy beach less than one block away on your right and the best of 5th Avenue on the other — all of this with peace and quiet in the evening and night time hours! I highly recommend this hotel as incredibly nice, friendly, and welcoming family operating the property and they pay attention to all details necessary including the highest level of cleanliness and MOST COMFORTABLE BEDS EVER!!! Amazing stay at a phenomenal price for location, comfort, and safety!
