One night stay
Pros:

Room spacious and clean. Great view of the river. Hotel has a nice feel. Breakfast great options available. Catered for the runners with a very early breakfast

Cons:

Bathroom amenities supplied are the bare minimum. Two people booked into the room however only 1 small bottle of water supplied. There was a music festival happening next door which resulted in excessively load music until 12:30am. We were in town to run the marathon therefore only getting a few hours of sleep was not what should happen before a marathon. Maybe management should have let us know about this festival on booking, giving us the opportunity to decide if we wanted to book elsewhere.

I am extremely disappointed by our experience at Riverside. We came to celebrate my husband’s birthday and enjoy a peaceful break with our two young children. Instead, we endured loud music throughout the day and night, leaving all of us unable to sleep.

Despite my correspondence with Babalewa before our arrival, during which I explained the reason for our visit, we were never informed that an event would be taking place at the neighbouring property. Had we been warned about the anticipated disturbance, we could have made an informed decision about our booking.

There was not a moment of peace. Even spending time by the dam was unpleasant because of the constant pounding music. What should have been a special family celebration became an exhausting and distressing experience.

This is unacceptable, and I expect Tsogo Sun to take this complaint seriously. Please explain why we were not warned and confirm what appropriate compensation you will offer for the disruption and impact on our stay.

I look forward to a prompt response and a meaningful resolution.

Exceptional Stay
Pros:

The best part of the hotel are the staff. There is not a single staff member out of order. From the moment we walked in Hospitality, Maintenance, everyone has an exceptional warm attitude. That stood out for me.
