Lovely old grand hotel, stunning location, room was massive, comfy bed & nice bathroom. Decor looked new but kept very traditional. Stunning views of the loch & mountains from the window. Plenty places to chill with games & a drink. Restaurant bar was nice, and enjoyed our meal. Afterwards we had a play about upstairs on the many different games, snooker, pool, table tennis, bowls & even an old fashioned 2 player video games machine. Used the spa facilities, short walk from the hotel, plenty lockers in the changing rooms. Nice big pool, steam room & sauna you can use as often as you wish, booking available for busier sessions. Breakfast available with buffet style Scottish breakfast & continental options. Overall, will 100% be back for more exploring and relaxing!
Not so much didn't like, but we weren't made aware of a menu option or shown any options. It was only when we were finishing our breakfast we noticed the table next to us had completely different breakfast items that were off a menu. Perhaps you could be given this when giving your room number & and shown to your seat or leave them on the table. Not the end of the world but we all would used in favour of the other options. Still enjoyed what we had though!
Location is brilliant and the staff exceptionally friendly and always ready to please. A high standard of decor and furnishings is maintained throughout the hotel and facilities
Nothing to dislike
The location was stunning
The bed needed attention kept rolling into the middle
Food was standard for the price could have been better
Very clean and comfortable
Nothing property was excellent only low mark was for 1 member of staff as one morning at breakfast she was stressed with 4 people waiting and saying it was not open yet even though it was past 08:00. She then yanked the door open to announce the restaurant was open. Obviously short staffed ( it was a Sunday) but as a manger she should act more professionally
Location, room is spacious, spa, cosy bar, chess/checkers tables
Waiters were too slow and confused, didn't offer menu at breakfast, didn't bring us part of our order both at dinner and at breakfast.
Location is fantastic
Nothing
Lovely hotel, second stay. Beautiful room, large had everything required. View was stunning. The staff were all so lovely, hard working and friendly, from reception to restuarant staff to cleaning rooms. Nothing too much trouble. Th swimming pool was a decent size and somewhere good to go after a busy day sight seeing.
Nothing
The staff were freindly and helpful, Big shout out to Magda and Alanah who made our stay even better. Hotel has a log fire and its kept alight by the staff. The view from hotel over Loch Rannoch is stunning. The food in the posh Resturaunt ( can't remember the name of it lol) is tip top. The spa is clean and very relaxing too. We were originally booked for 3 nights but it was so relaxing we stayed an extra night.
Nothing to do with hotel but there isnt an ATM for miles. So take some cash with you. 👍
Gorgeous hotel, with an equally gorgeous location. Rooms were perfect and decor in keeping with the style of the hotel
The hotel and surroundings were beautiful. The receptionist who had just returned from Australia was very helpful. The team left a card and shortbread for us on arrival as it was a birthday gift.
There was lots of noticeable maintenance issues that hadn’t been completed including broken or missing ceiling tiles. One of the sockets in our room was loose from the wall. To reach the spa and pool area requires you to leave the main building and this is not ideal in inclement weather. We were not made aware of this beforehand. The documentation stated that the pool was heated, it was not. The changing facilities, while functional, were damaged and worn. The entrance to the spa and pool has obviously recently been updated but this only serves to make the poor condition of the pool area more evident. The restaurant, while nicely decorated was very expensive considering the quality of the meals, £120 for 2 drinks and 3 courses felt quite steep in our eyes. The beef burger was poor quality and most of it was left.
Good location, didn't manage to use the spa facilities, good bar food and ale
Minor point, slow lift and voice!
Well appointed comfortable hotel in a beautiful location. Contemporary loch view room was spacious, comfortable, clean and stylish, met our expectations.
Pool and spa facilities were good.
Evening meal in the Estate Room restaurant was excellent, breakfast was fine.
Strange that no towels are provided at the pool, you have to take those provided in the room and then bring them back to the room wet to try and dry them out, our ask for some more if you want to use the pool again....
Slight issue at check out when they tried to add another £55 for bar meals and drinks that we didn't have but I like to think that was an innocent mistake.
Nicely kept hotel, friendly staff.
Exceptional staff, a warm welcome at reception, Maddy and Bellbin in the restaurant were excellent. The food was delicious and breakfast staff attentive and helpful. Lovely larger room, great towels and toiletries. It's a very comfortable and welcoming hotel.
The spa facilities are good and Gosia did a wonderfully relaxing massage.
fantastic price and services supplied were great,
Rooms were beautiful looking over the loch
drinks were a little expensive
Location and food were great.
The facilities were a little run down
