An excellent country style hotel with a magnificent garden
Beautiful, true Midlands style, friendly staff
Amazing atmosphere
Bathroom needs renovation. Water running over the floor when showering
Beautiful setting
The rooms we were in had coffee on the wall. The TV wasn’t working but the staff were efficient and sorted it out. The decor had a headboard that the leather was peeling off
Very comfortable rooms. The location is close to everything, yet very peaceful. They serve a lovely breakfast.
The view of the surrounding area was exquisite. We booked two rooms and the one room we booked had excellent heating. The bed was quite comfortable.
The hotel could do with a renovation, it is outdated, a bit dark and there are a lot of water stains on the roof. The rooms could have been cleaned better, they weren't bad but not a four star experience. The heating was not working in one of the rooms. A card for the WIFI should be in every room, you shouldn't have to ask reception. The WIFI in general was not up to standard.
Room was clean and staff was exceptionally wonderful and assisted us with everything we requested
Breakfast was also amazing , tasty and filling.
Bed linen was clean and bed comfortable
Only if there was heater, air conditioner or heated blanket for cold days
Everything!!!
Not much
Always an awesome stay
Nothing bad to report
Great one night stop-over. Breakfast was delightful.
From the start, we loved being at Rawdowns. Check-in was quick and friendly. We were allocated the family "Lake Cottage" which was a quaint thatch cottage on the edge of the lake. The cottage was tastefully decorated with comfortable furniture and 2 huge , comfortable king size beds. The shower was spacious and modern and the pressure was perfect with lots of hot water. The evening was a bit chilly but there was an abundant amount of chopped firewood to make a cosy fire. In the morning, we took the short walk to the hotel where a buffet breakfast awaited (included in the price). There were lots to choose from including teas/coffees, a variety of cereals and yoghurts, stewed fruits, a tasty cheese board ,fresh scones and an assortment of sweet treats. Added to this, a menu was available with hot breakfast choices.
That we never discovered Rawdons Hotel before this trip ;)
