The room was comfortable, well presented, and very clean. It had everything you need, including tea and coffee facilities, a kettle, hairdryer, ironing board, and a TV with free WiFi. There was also a nice personal touch with a welcome note.
The bathroom was well presented with clean towels, and the shower was very powerful. Soap and conditioner were also provided.
Breakfast was available at an additional cost, offering a continental selection with cereals, a variety of fresh juices, and free refills. I opted for the full English breakfast, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
Lunch and evening meals were also available. I opted for an evening meal, which I again thoroughly enjoyed.
There really wasn’t anything I didn’t like — everything was spot on
Excellent restaurant..friendly staff...
We arrived staff were friendly and helpful. We got to the room and after 10 mins the staff knocked on the door to say they had an issue with the tv and had someone to coming to change so would we mind them coming to fit a new one while we were out. We didnt mind as we had left nothing valuable in the room. My wife came back for an early night to find the old tv removed and no new one fitted. We had no explanation or remedy. Just left without one. Wasn't the end of the world as the room was lovely but just strange letting us stay in a room that wasnt ready.
The quiet location
The musky smell in the room,
No one on reception and an automated AI answering machine called Alana, you can never speak to any human.
I arrived very late due to a delayed flight, after a slight panic I was met by the very friendly night attendant. The room was spotless and very comfortable had a handwritten note with a chocolate which was needed!!
We had dinner on the second night which was lovely and relaxing after a busy day
I have no negitive comments regarding my stay it was very comfortable but it would be nice if the walkway was highlighted for people staying in the hotel it was only by chance that I noticed it from my room.
We didn't have breakfast due to leaving early. The location was excellent next to the river. It was very peaceful. The room was excellent for the price and the bed was comfortable.
The shower curtain had a slight odour to it which became more obvious when I took a bath and my nose was within range of it. The rest of the room was spot on and was clean.
The place was really nice but, unfortunately, let down by some bar staff.
The bar was left unattended for periods of time, resulting in queues forming. Tables left uncleared when people had left and were subsequently cleared by the next person who wanted to use it. The bar itself was not wiped down so was constantly wet. General lack of care and attention in the bar area.
A very cosy stay. 10/10.
I was booked into the supposed last room for the night on 31/1. On arrival I noticed the room smelled foul and mouldy. I pointed this out and the staff agreed but said as no other Rooms they could not move us for the night. We were given a. Bottle of bathroom spray to mask the odour and had to put up with it. The next morning I complained and was promised a refund but this hasn’t happened. I was told the hotel would be closed on Wednesday for refurbishment. There is a clear leak into the carpet from the shower took photos. We stay here in burton regularly twice a month in the area. Add insult to injury the AI phone robot never puts you through to a person. Where is our promised refund ?

Good value for the money amd great customer service with professional.and efficient cleaning staff.
Lack of space and lack of storage.
Great location.
Clean and relatively comfortable although room was relatively small as was the bed (double I think)
Continental breakfast was poor.
Coffee and hot water for tea was from a flask. Self service buffet was poor. Arrived for breakfast at 9:00am on a Sunday and they had two danish pastries and a croissant left. When I asked if they were replenishing I was told they only had what was on display.
A number of guests arrived after us and they presumably had none.
Poached egg on toast arrived with half a round of toast and half a round of bread (no butter). I asked for more toast which eventually arrived after the eggs were already cold.
Shame because there is a lot to like about the hotel but with no management in attendance in restaurant or reception area found it pointless to raise any concerns.
