Good spacious room. Clean with a good breakfast. Friendly owner.

Location. Centre of Church Stretton. Good traditional pub with rooms above.

Cons:

A little tired. Food not available on Saturday evening. Change of owner imminent.

great location, comfortable room
Pros:

Good English breakfast with option to rotate selections; excellent location in centre of village and walkable distance to Carding Mill Valley and hiking areas

Cons:

no lift; all the rooms are upstairs, but this is to be expected for a historic building; you'll need to factor bringing your luggage up to the second floor; you can also hear the music from the pub downstairs, but it was pretty muffled in my room and so did not disturb me

Absolutely amazing stay! Will hope to return one day.
Pros:

Andy & Sarah were great hosts, very welcoming. The hotel is great, very comfortable pub with lovely, clean, spacious rooms, delicious homemade food and good beer. There was an 80’s night on when we stayed which was a fantastic party with a very talented duo of musicians. All in all we had a really fabulous stay.

Good choice of food for breakfast, and individually prepared for what we ordered. Lovely friendly staff. Helpful location for all that we were doing in terms of work and visiting friends.

Pros:

An excellent breakfast of our choice. This was a spur of the moment booking as we were travelling and were unsure of where we would be at six o’clock. By the morning specialty food had been sourced for me as I am gluten intolerant. What service!

We were there on a Saturday - our room was above the bar, there was some noise from the music, but wasn’t too bad and not all rooms are above the bar
