Even helemaal tot rust komen tussen drukke afspraken door

Het ontbijt was voortreffelijk! Ook heel feestelijk om te zien, zo'n prive-buffetje. Een zonnig begin van iedere dag.

Het weer, maar daar kunnen jullie niets aan doen.

3 nachten heerlijk geslapen in een FANTASTISCH bed en genoten van alles in het restaurant.
Pros:

De Stadsherberg in Alphen a/d Rijn is een pareltje in het centrum. Het is een totaalervaring als je ook naast het logeren gebruik maakt van het ontbijt en het restaurant. Ze hebben een goed samenwerkend team, wat ontbijt, lunch en diner op een professionele, maar toch gemoedelijke wijze verzorgt. Het restaurant en de kamers zijn sfeervol ingericht met oude en nieuwe spullen smaakvol gecombineerd. En de bedden, die moeten apart genoemd worden, die zijn namelijk FANTASTISCH

Cons:

Wat misschien wat aandacht verdient, is de kou of tocht die van de ramen komt bijv. langs de banken in het restaurant. Het is logisch dat dit ontstaat bij een wat ouder pand, maar is wellicht te verhelpen.

Central location; French feel; semi-casual atmosphere.
Pros:

Central location. French style ‘courtyard hotel’ feel; nice styling. City centre easily accessible; great beer on tap. Great coffee. High ceilings - at least in the family room.

Would recommend!

Cons:

No fridge in the room. No safe/locker. Saying that the staff/owners were very helpful in us using the fridge in the restaurant kitchen with our stuff labelled.

Een gemiste kans in een mooi hotel
Pros:

De locatie is heel goed, en de kamer was mooi. Modern ingericht, ruimtelijk. Mijn dochter vond het stapelbed fantastisch.

Cons:

Door een miscommunicatie stond ik om 21.30 met mijn 6-jarige dochter voor een dichte deur, in de vrieskou, na een lange reis vanuit Frankrijk. Personeel was vriendelijk en handelde adequaat, na een halfuurtje konden we naar binnen, maar toch drukt het een stempel.
Het gevolg was namelijk een ijskoude kamer, het was duidelijk dat ze ons totaal niet geboekt hadden. Ondanks dat het personeel allemaal echt vriendelijk was, vond ik het heel jammer dat er niet eens een kopje koffie als sorry vanaf kon. We werden letterlijk onze kamer gewezen en dat was dat. Met geen woord over gerept bij uitchecken de volgende dag, terwijl het voor ons toch echt een hele vervelende ontvangst is geweest.
Met goede service, in ieder geval benoemen hoe vervelend het was, had dit echt rechtgebreid kunnen worden. Een gemiste kans van echte gastvrijheid.
