Pros:

I stayed at Thai Dat Hotel for two nights during a quick trip to Ho Chi Minh City, and it honestly did the job really well. The room was basic but clean, the aircon worked fine, and the bed was decent and comfortable enough for a good night sleep.
What I appreciated most was the quiet neighborhood, it’s not right in the city center, but that also means it’s less noisy. It takes about 15 minutes by Grab to get to District 1. There is a convenience store and some food options nearby, which was helpful.

Pros:

The location was good for me reasonably close to the airport and lots of local people doing local things especially liked the local food stalls, the air con was heavenly for someone used to a northern climate and the staff were very friendly

Cons:

Overall the room and hotel have a rustic charm and there's a certain elegance to the foyer, the rustic appeal loses it's charm in the bathroom but it does provide basic western facilities

Comfortable Bed

Cons:

- Rooms contaminated with Cigarette Smoke!
- No real Window to look outside and not possible to open
- had to change the room because the door lock was broken
