A fantastic castle with a very warm welcome that instantly made me feel at home. A gem of a hotel.
Pros:

This hotel/castle is incredible. Not only is the building beautiful but the staff and the welcome I got was one of the best ever received. The manageress (I assume) is so lovely and helpful, willing to help as much as she can and flexible.

The room was lovely and the bedding so nice and soft.

Their onsite restaurant offered a good selection of starters and mains, the duck was very nice. Good decent sized portions too for both starters and mains.

The antiroom with a bar room served us well (a group of 10) to keep away from other guests so as not to annoy them too much. With a working log/coal fire that the staff weren't precious about us keeping alight, it honestly felt like staying with a relative so nice and welcoming is this hotel.

Cons:

Ok there were a few hairs in the hair and it could do with modernising (just the bathroom) but thats about it.

Helped to enhance a thoroughly enjoyable weekend
Pros:

Location was perfect for the wedding we were attending. Room was superb and breakfast good.
Family who run the business are a delight, would definitely recommend

Cons:

Wifi not great in parts of the castle however this is not necessarily a downside if you value conversation

Outstanding in every way
Pros:

The location is stunning and the building itself if spectacular. It really is like stepping back in time staying here. We had a very late arrival for a wedding at another venue close by and the lady who runs it couldn't have been more helpful. She told us to focus on getting ready and enjoying our day and to worry about settling the bill on checkout the following day. Breakfast was amazing, the room was stunning. There aren't enough good things to say about this venue and the family who runs it.

Absolutely loved the place, friendly from the moment you walk in the door, the food was absolutely amazing, my partner said the steak was one of the best he’s ever had, room was lovely we stayed in room 14 bed comfy, would definitely return
