Overall good stay
Pros:

Close to the train station and things to see nearby.

Only stay here if I really needed to and if the price were cheap
Pros:

I loved being right next to the train station and different shops for some thing to eat.

Cons:

The staff weren't as friendly as previous staff in the past. They didn't inform you that the pool was out of action before you booked or even when you did book. The bathroom wasn't clean like it should be. The toilet roll hadn't been changed. A massive hand print mark on the wall. Room really claustrophobic so didn't sleep good. And in general the room wasn't as clean and spotless as I thought it should be from staying previous times.

Pros:

Beautiful hotel, very grand and right next to the train station. Room was an excellent size. Breakfast was great value

Very handy and welcoming
Pros:

Great location with friendly staff and comfortable clean room. Easy to drop bags off and return late

Windows needed to be open to keep room cool but outside noise was quite noticeable

Just totally displeased by the experience given its my first time in Newcastle
Pros:

First off was charged 50 quid incase the property was damaged I was not explicitly informed of this. I guess I looked like a rogue. I still have not received my money.

Cons:

The room was uncomfortable. The sheets were not fresh

My stay was pleasant. I liked the hotel for it's situation. The people were kind and helpful
Pros:

I have used the hotel before since I was arriving at the station for one night only. It did not appear changed very much. The price is not high and it was worth paying since I wanted a train in the morning
The breakfast area was well run and staff were helpful and relaxed. I had a good light meal when I returned from my business the first day. Just what I wanted since I was tired and alone!

Cons:

On my arrival, I knew I was going to want to sign in before the allotted time of 3pm.
I wanted to sign in and be able to leave for my destination at 2pm. Before I had left, I had emailed my request
and was assured the staff would do their best to accomodate that. When I arrived, the staff appeard to know nothing of this and afte a bit of a set to, because my room was still not ready, I had to leave my bag with the staff as I went out. As a result I came back at around 8pm and had to sign in then. I went up to my room feeling pretty tired. I had to unpack, try to freshen up and sort myself out before going down for something to eat and try to relax. This was not the evening I had expected.

Not great in a heat wave as no AC and windows didn’t open on 4th floor.

Staff were always friendly and ready to help. Room was clean and tidy.

The windows didn’t open and we were on the 4th floor in a heat wave so it wasn’t as comfortable as we would have liked.

Great location hotel with awesome breakfast

Nice hotel next to the train station. Awesome breakfast and good rooms.

The bedroom was really warm at night and they asked us to pay for using the swimming.
