Extremely glad I discovered the hotel as I will be back, frequently.
Pros:

Stunning historic building beautifully preserved and well positioned in a quiet and peaceful location down a well maintained drive. Surrounded by unspoilt sweeping gardens, again well maintained and large enough to find many peaceful spots to enjoy the surroundings and views. Inside rooms with very large windows that allow you to enjoy the views whilst dining and relaxing inside. Rooms are very spacious with large modern bathrooms and comfortable beds. Accompanied with the usual room amenities etc.

Pros:

Amazing stay at Ettington Park Hotel, exceeding our expectations - the historical building itself is phenomenal, with a beautiful garden and land. The room is comfy, and the food at the lounge & breakfast were both great. All the staff were very friendly and warm, and we also very much enjoyed using the pool & spa facility. Overall, we had a wonderful time and will certainly recommend the hotel to friends and family.

Fantastic stay. Probably the best place I’ve had the pleasure to visit. The staff were amazing, friendly and welcoming.

Pros:

The hotel is a beautiful building in lovely surroundings. We sat outside near the ruined church and a herd of deer came past. The room was very comfortable, especially the bed. The swimming pool was excellent and not busy. Breakfast was delicious. The staff were mostly very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

We ate in the Oak Room from the bar menu one night. The menu was short on choices. The burger was fine but the snitzel was bland and oily and the fennel slaw was tasteless and uninteresting with a few cold French beans on top. The tables were awkward sizes and the staff in this area less helpful. It seemed that if you didn't opt for the more expensive dining room then the hotel wasn't really interested. We ate out on the next night and would do again.

This hotel is extremely comfortable with all you need, the grounds are beautiful and quiet.
Pros:

Good selection at breakfast, hot and cold.
Delicious evening dinner.
Room was very spacious , high ceiling with efficient air conditioning. Complimentary water and fresh milk in the really quiet fridge. All the staff are very courteous, smiling, friendly people which really makes your holiday special, thankyou.

Cons:

We did think the whole hotel was air conditioned but it’s just the bedrooms. We did find the dining room on the first night very hot however they had a very efficient floor fan which helped to cool us down.

A great hotel spoiled by a few poor aspects

The property itself was fantastic. Lovely building in a beautiful location. Breakfast was excellent

Cons:

The mid stay cleaning was poor. I left our towels on the floor when we went out expecting them to be changed. When we returned the damp dirty towels had been folded and left on the toilet seat. No new towels provided. No replenishing of tea/ coffee / biscuits. This would has been poor at any hotel hit at a top end hotel this was not acceptable

Pros:

I've been to countless hotels over the years, but the staff at Ettington are by far the best I've ever encountered. They are warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and truly go the extra mile. The food was superb, the room was beautiful, and the grounds were stunning. Beth at the front desk could not have been more welcoming. Being greeted and assisted by her was the best way to start our break. It was all around a wonderful experience.

On our first night, the lady tending bar mixed our drinks to perfection; and the young lady who waited on our table was very sweet, kind and attentive - making extra sure I didn't accidentally order something that contained an allergen.

An extra special hat-tip to Beth and the chef, because I had a horrendous migraine on our first night and they saved the day by making an ice pack for me on the spot. An additional thank you to Erin, who was also super lovely.

The hotel itself is beautiful, but the heart is the staff - they make it extra special. A huge thank you to everyone at Ettington for a wonderful stay. Highly recommended!
