L accueil , tout le monde est vraiment agréable .
Je n’avais pas vu que nous étions au bord d une route très passante .
Le dîner pour une étoile est décevant.
Notamment, on nous a servi dans une assiette, un morceau de bœuf (2cm sur 3cm) que je n’aurais même pas donné à un chat.
Quant à l’entrée, il ne fallait surtout pas avoir faim.
Nous sommes arrivés au petit déjeuner, il était 9h40, il ne restait plus grand-chose.
C’est une honte de servir un tel repas.

This was the second week of two, following on from a self-catered week elsewhere. We are perhaps atypical clients because we did not join the fine dining or even use the pool, rather we used the hotel as a bed-and-breakfast base for touring the area. There is so much of visual, cultural and historic interest in this area needing drives of less than an hour. As for the hotel itself, everything about it exudes quality and comfort, with attention to detail by the staff. The prevailing mood is extraordinarily calm and peaceful. The breakfast is exceptional in its range and quality, plus there view from the terrace to accompany. The staff were exemplary from the first moments of our introductory welcome and tour through to our farewells. We enjoyed returning after a day's touring to our very comfortable and well-equipped room, with water and coffee provided. We liked the walk-in shower and the good quality towels and toiletries. We slept well every night and could easily control the temperature of the room - all the basics of a hotel stay were covered, really well. Car parking was never a problem. We'd already visited several inland towns and villages in the previous week so this week we were at Arcangues, St Jean de Luz, Biarritz, Bayonne, Ascain, Abbadia, Hendaye, Chateau d'Urturbie and Bidart, plus Ergoien and Lesaka over the border in Basque Spain. It was our first visit to Pays-Basque and we loved the area.
Nothing of real significance. We'd anticipated that the "Garden Room" would have a view of a garden whereas the reality was an enclosed private terrace, which was useful. So not an issue, maybe just a point about naming?
Une adresse incontournable ..des chambres décorées avec goût , dans un cadre idyllique ..et une table d exception grace à son chef qui mérite son étoile concoctant un menu dont chaque plat est une découverte et un délice …un petit couple qui prend soin de ses hôtes …que dire d autre : mille mercis monsieur et madame Bechade pour le bonheur que vous nous offrez !
Le petit déjeuner, lit très correct, chiens acceptés,
amabilité du personnel, la piscine, espace vert.
Un regret de n' avoir pas mangé sur place.
Pas de climatisation le jour de notre arrivée, car problème technique.
Problème résolu le jour d'après.
Tv hors service pour nos deux jours.
The service was good but there was very little fresh fruit available
Lighter food choices for the evening meal would have been appreciated…we were persuaded to have the gourmet taster menu which was far too much and as we were only stopping off on a very long journey the choice of a light bar meal would have been much appreciated.
