Paradise right near the beach. Peaceful, thoughtful, comfortable oasis

Outstanding studio, very highly recommend
Pros:

What a Beautiful studio. Very very classy design. Spacious. Just a lovely space. Big green and sheltered private garden with hammock and large table. Huge private yoga space upstairs. Private parking. The WiFi worked well for a Teams work call. Great kitchen to cook in - a 6 burner gas hob and oven is unheard of in a rental! Large comfy bed. Big bathroom. Amazing pool next door in the “hotel” bit. Nice breakfast. Good location. Owner Alex super friendly and with partner has clearly taken huge care over the detailed design and running of this to make it such a success. Bravo!

Cons:

Nothing! I’m scraping the barrel to think of any ways of making it even better! ok, it’s not cheap, but it is very good. The hot shower is fine and it works well, but it’s not the very strongest. There’s a surprising absence of hooks for things like towels and clothes eg in the bathroom. There’s no hairdryer.

Elegant & welcoming tropical oasis
Pros:

Casa Zala was even more beautiful than expected! The rooms were spacious and elegant yet simple. The entire place was a welcoming jungle oasis. Also, an amazing breakfast!

Schönste Unerkunft
Pros:

Tolle Anlage, sehr geschmackvoll eingerichet, schöner kleiner Pool, in dem man aber auch gut schwimmen kann. Der Strand ist 2 Querstrassen entfernt, 5 Minuten. Das Frühstück ist extrem lecker. Neben Toast, Früchten und Granola in Buffet Form kann man sich je 1 Frühstück von der Karte frisch zubereiten lassen. Schmeckt wunderbar und die beiden Damen, die sich darum kümmern, sind sehr nett. Es gibt gratis gefiltertes Wasser.

Cons:

Ein paar mehr Liegen mit Auflagen, auch im Schatten, wären das Tüpfelchen der Perfektion und praktischer als die Sessel vorne rechts am Pool. Im oberen Zimmer wären mehr Ablagemöglichkeiten sinnvoll, da man Dinge nur auf das Sofa legen kann.

Beautiful and friendly stay at Casa Zala
Pros:

My stay at casa zala was wonderful. I stayed in the casita which was fully equipped with everything I needed and more. The other rooms in the hotel seemed great too. The communication was great, and the onsite manager and catering ladies were amazing!! The breakfast were the best I’d had in a while too.
Neighbouring bars are pretty loud at the weekend but that’s just El paredón. If you’re not looking to be in the party/backpacker scene, then casa zala is probably to best place to stay

Cons:

The gate to the casita could have been more secure. But the area seemed safe and there were security cameras

Estancia fantástica
Pros:

La atención del personal fue excepcional. El desayuno estaba riquísimo, de los mejores que he probado desde que llegué a Guate. Las instalaciones son hermosas, cómodas y limpias. La habitación estaba perfectamente ordenada y limpia. Además, era amplia, iluminada y hermosa. Estuvieron muy pendientes de cualquier cosa que pudiéramos necesitar. La ubicación era perfecta porque estaba cerca de la playa, de restaurantes, bares, tiendas y de un supermercado. Te reciben de manera amable y cálida, te envían un documento donde te dan instrucciones que facilitan la estancia en el hotel y también en el pueblo. La piscina muy limpia y tanto el lugar como el pueblo son muy seguros. Volvería todas las veces que pudiera.

Einfach eine Wohlfühl Oase.
Pros:

Der Salzwasser Pool lädt sowohl zum schwimmen als auch zum Verweilen ein, da es mehrere Ebenen gibt.

Das Frühstück wird frisch zubereitet für jeden Gast. Sehr lecker.
Man ist gemeinsam mit anderen Gästen am großen Tisch und kommt darüber ins Gespräch.

Ansonsten ist es einfach eine grüne Oase der Ruhe.


Bei auftretenden Fragen half der Hotel Eigentümer unmittelbar und sehr freundlich.
Er hatte zwei private Transfers von Antigua zur Casa Zala und von dort zum Flughafen organisiert. Das hat super funktioniert und ich konnte die Fahrten mit der Hotel Abrechnung am Ende begleichen.
Ich würde auf jeden Fall wieder dorthin fahren, falls ich erneut nach Guatemala reisen sollte.

Can't wait to be back already!
Pros:

Casa Zala completely exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a little slice of paradise we never wanted to leave. The whole property is so beautifully looked after, every corner feels intentional, calm, and inviting.

The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the effort that goes into it truly shows. The waffles were incredible, easily some of the best we’ve ever had. Every morning felt like such a treat.

The pool area was another highlight. It’s perfectly designed for relaxing, sunbathing, and just soaking in the atmosphere. We could have spent our entire trip just lounging there. They helped us set up some surfing lessons and told us whats going on around the town!

Our stay was amazing from start to finish. Casa Zala is one of those places that stays with you long after you leave. We can’t wait to come back!

Un séjour idyllique dans une atmosphère sereine

La maison isolée est top et parfaitement équipée avec sa cuisine, ses hamacs, son lit King size et une supper salle de bain. La piscine partagée n’est pas bondée et l’ambiance est familiale et agréable
