NOTHING !!! Except the manager who was very considerate.
I had booked via booking.com as I always do . This is my trusted site. I sent a message to the owner that we will be late to arrive as our flight would land in Delhi at 5 pm. He sent a message saying “ Ok sure” . This was in December when I booked. We reached the hotel at 10.15 pm with my husband and my 85 yrs old mom in law. Upon reaching the manager said that we didn’t have any booking and they had given away our rooms to someone else. We were so tired and it was so cold to even go and look for another hotel. He spoke with the OWnER , who blatantly blamed booking.com saying that since they allowed to pay at the venue and no payment was received they gave the rooms away. Really !!!!!! This has never happened before with us . We always use booking .com, nor have I heard anything like this excuse before. I truly believe he double booked . Anyways he was not going to do anything about it. He said since he didn’t have my contact number he couldn’t contact me earlier… BUT he had messaged me earlier so he should have sent a message again asking me to pay upfront which would not have been any problem at all. He didn’t even bother to contact us , just gave away our rooms. The booking was not even cancelled otherwise I would have been notified by booking .com. I wanted to scream and cry at the same time . I was so angry. My mom in law was so tired that she stared crying and got stressed. The manager then took us to a small dingi hotel 1 km away on foot in that cold and we managed to get 2 small rooms . The owner was not apologetic nor accepting their fault . Worst hotel ever . Zero for his customer service. I wish to lodge this complain and demand he apologise to us for the stress and disappointment he caused.
Staff were amazing, rooms clean
Rooms meant to have fridge and hairdryer and didn’t. After a few days not having a window in room was quite hard. Quite pricey but good option for Karnal

Well maintained property
There is no dedicated parking of the hotel. It's basically outside on the road and the road outside the hotel, is mostly occupied by cars of neighboring shop's customers.
Also, late night there were loud noises coming from the floor above, of moving furniture (from 10.30PM till 1.30AM) despite me raising the issue with the reception.
