Original features
We stay there from May 15 till May 20, 2026. Very nice authentic place. Good service. Amazing view.
Nothing
I actually left this hotel shortly after checking in period I have messaged customer service of booking.com several times about this issue and waiting a response
Accoglienza alberghiera impeccabile e rara.
Edificio storico rispettato e suggestivo
Niente
Sounds really cute, old convent with great view. However:
Plus:
Location - great views
Parking available - they will take your car to the car park so you don't have to deal with the traffic.
Staff - every single person was so nice and helpful, except we did have a seating problem with our dinner reservation that they were not accommodating about
Minus:
Pillows - flat foam
Beds - uncomfortable
Towels - seemed like the castoffs that should be retired
Bath mat - old throw rugs that were cut in half
Bathroom smell - strong smell of sewer gas, had to keep the door closed
Breakfast - not great, a lot of boxed items like cereal and crackers
No elevator
I have never written a negative review, but I felt I needed to share my experience because this stay was so disappointing and ultimately forced me to pay for another hotel during my trip.
Upon check-in, the woman at reception was kind but very rushed. She took me up several flights of stairs, opened the room door, slid my bag inside, and essentially said, “See you later.” There was no explanation of the room or hotel features. I walked in and was immediately shocked.
The room itself felt more like an extremely cramped and claustrophobic space than a hotel room. The bed was a very small single bed setup that appeared to be more like a daybed or corner couch with a mattress placed on top. It did not resemble a standard hotel bed at all and felt more like improvised furniture than an actual bed intended for comfort. As a solo traveler nearing the end of a trip through Italy, it felt completely inadequate.
The balcony, which was presented as a major selling feature, was approximately two feet deep and barely usable.
The bathroom was extremely small — smaller than a cruise ship bathroom. As a woman who is 5'11", I could barely fit in the shower. The showerhead hit around neck level, meaning I practically would have had to squat to shower comfortably.
The location was also difficult. I understand the Amalfi Coast involves stairs, hills, and cobblestone streets — that’s part of the experience. But there are much better options in Ravello that are significantly closer to the main square and more convenient. The amount of uphill and downhill walking required from this location became exhausting.
I tried to make it work, but there was absolutely no way I could spend four nights there, let alone finish a three-week trip through Italy in that room. I couldn't even imagine unpacking.
The room also was not as clean as I expected. I didn’t take detailed photos of everything, but the shower caulking was peeling and there were dead bugs in parts of the room. I understand bugs can happen when a balcony door is open, but combined with everything else it added to the feeling that the room was not well maintained.
The biggest issue was that this room was not represented accurately online. I had originally booked a different room category and emailed beforehand asking whether a sea-view room was available. I was told yes, that it was a single room, and there would be no additional charge. At the time, I assumed “single room” simply meant a room for one person. I did not expect this.
Afterward, I went back and looked everywhere: Booking.com, the hotel website, and online photos. There are zero photos showing what this single room actually looks like. I understand that online photos never perfectly match reality, but there should be some accurate representation of what guests are booking.
To be fair, the gentleman at the front desk was incredibly kind and tried to help. He offered to move me to another room for two nights and then move me back. Since I was only staying four nights total, that would have meant moving rooms twice after already checking in. That simply wasn't realistic.
I ultimately moved to another hotel approximately two minutes from the main square. The difference was unbelievable: a massive room, renovated and spacious bathroom, a large comfortable balcony with an excellent view — and it was actually €100 less expensive than Hotel Parsifal.
The hotel asked me to give the manager an opportunity to respond, which I did. Unfortunately, I found the response dismissive and somewhat defensive. I was told that photos online are different than seeing things in person, that I was the one who requested a sea-view room, and that I hadn’t given them an opportunity to move me — which was not accurate based on my discussion with the front desk staff.
For a prepaid four-night stay, I was offered a refund of only one night. Completely unacceptable considering I had to pay for entirely new accommodations because I could not stay there.
Very disappointing experience.
GM Antonio was a pro and very friendly
breakfasts were a little perfunctory
Location e vista mozzafiato!
Sala colazione un po’ “polverosa”!
View from the terrace restaurant was unbelievably beautiful. Food was also excellent
Hotel Parsifal was highly recommended to us, and it did not disappoint! It was the perfect landing spot for our visit to the Amalfi Coast area. We loved that it was family-run! Everyone was so nice and helpful, the food was great, coffee and drinks were tasty, the rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, and the view was absolutely amazing. I hope I get to visit again someday!
charme della atruttura storica e posizione, servizio
This is better late than never. We were in Ravello last November and it was quite difficult to find somewhere for lunch. We asked one of the locals and they suggested the restaurant at Hotel Parsifal. We were celebrating 2 birthdays and the staff could have not have been more accommodating. All our dishes were delicious, there was a varied selection of wine and they bought out a beautiful cake at the end which was complimentary. We were a goup of 8 and we didn't have a booking so were very grateful to be so warmly welcomed. The views from the restaurant and the courtyard outside were incredible also.
Beautiful property, position, views. Wonderful staff.

caring staff and a comfortable bed.
an unkempt terrace, a modest breakfast, and unappetizing food in the restaurant.
What's not to like here? From the moment we arrived, we were treated as family. The view from our room is hard to explain it was so beautiful. Grounds were impeccably clean and our room was top notch. Breakfast was plentiful every morning with many choices styled as expected for the location. Management and Wait staff was attentive (overly in a very good way) and ensured that we were so very well taken care of. This was our first trip to the Amalfi coast and it was one we will never forget.
