We spent three nights at this small, family-run hotel right in the centre of Gargnano which deserves more than its two stars.
All the basics were taken care of to a very high level. Our room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The shower worked well and there was plenty of room in the bathroom. The lighting was good and there were plenty of electric sockets. WiFi was good and the signal strong. Then newly installed air conditioning worked well and there was a ceiling fan as well. The room included a safe. There was a lift to the third floor.

We had not booked breakfast in the hotel but decided to have it on our first morning. It was a very high quality and we decided immediately to have breakfast on our remaining days. It is served an a first-floor terrace at the back of the hotel with a beautiful view over the lake.

The furniture in the hotel is largely of good quality and traditional rather than modern and functional. The hotel was full of interesting art including old prints of Gargnano, modern paintings and interesting artefacts. Edoardo was also eager to tell us about them. He also talked about the town and recommended some restaurants. He was happy to let me try out my limited Italian but spoke excellent English too (and I heard him speaking German with guests as well). He was rightly proud of his hotel. His parents were present and served breakfast. They spoke less English but were very welcoming. The family feel of the hotel made a big difference. We felt like guests rather than customers.

Prawdziwy wloski urokliwy hotelik
Pros:

Hotel w super lokalizacji, w samym centrum miasteczka Gargnano, przy samym jeziorze. Piękny widok z tarasu, na którym serwowane są śniadania w formie małego bufetu. Pokoje czyste, codziennie room service, a właściciele bardzo mili i uśmiechnięci. Dostaliśmy bardzo dokładne informacje przed przyjazdem na temat zakwaterowania. Polecam!

excellent breakfast on a terrace overlooking the lake. Eduardo, the manager, was pleasant and very helpful. the hotel is superbly situated in the best town on Lake Garda. I can assure you that you won't be disappointed. We will return

The location s great! The staff so helpful

Cons:

Nothing indeed. Just the air con wasn't working, as told us previously. Perhaps in the warm nights it could be a problem. Another situation is the noise coming from outside. For us it wasn't a problem. However, for other people, it may be. Good to be aware of it.
